Henry III was the first Plantagenet to be born in England.
In 1264 Simon de Montfort captured his brother-in-law King Henry III and Henry's son Prince Edward. Simon established a military dictatorship.

In The Plantagenets, Dan Jones Wrote:
Henry had purchased from the nobles of Outremer a delicate crystaline vessel containg a portion of the blood of Christ, which was said to have been collected from Jesus as he suffered the agonies of Passion. It fitted well into the holy relic collection.
