Västerbottens-Kuriren about Victoria's hike in Lappland 25th April:
The crown princess played dodgeball with pupils at the Skytteanska school, which is part of the school's health promotion work.
- She was a bit good, but I do not think she eliminated anyone, said student Hampus Lorentsson.
Then the Crown Princess received a quick course in Sami before visiting the Sami school. She greeted the students with "buerie aerede" (good morning in southern Sami)
- Amazing, I received a response, said the Crown Princess, pleased that she pronounced the newly-learned word correctly.
There was also outdoor activity at Sami school. A game where the Crown Princess, the governor and the municipal council Tomas Mörtsell and some of the students took part.
- Thank you for that I got to come and visit you, said the Crown Princess before the visit continued in Ingemarbacken.
The Crown Princess begun skiing at Hemavan at lunchtime. After riding a gondola on the mountain, the skiing started with downhill skiing towards Kungsleden.
- So gar, so good, said the Crown Princess after the run-up.
There were many who followed at the skiing trip. School students and staff from the court and county administrative board and others. There were also natural guides who, during different stops, told about nature and culture.
The Crown Princess met later in the day Eden and Marklund family from Umeå, they were on a trip on the mountain.
- Where is your dress then?, wondered Elin Eden, 4 years. The Crown Princess explained that it is not good to ski with a dress.
- Where are your children then, wondered Ingrid Marklund, 3
- They are at preschool, told the Crown Princess.

On her hike in Närke:
The Crown Princess took a medal in identifying species
The sun shines when Crown Princess Victoria arrived at Närke to make a province hike there over the day. She hiked through the nature reserve Sörön and Kvismaren, on to the "snakes' paradise" Öby Kulle, where a bunch of Natursnokarna waited for to get challenge Victoria in identifying species.
Natursnokarna are the children's and family activities of the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and they were eager to test the Crown Princess if she managed to identify ten species on her walk. After she got right over ten species - including brimstone, common hepatica, aspen, oak and alder - she received the medal Stenfalken.
- She made it swimmingly. In addition, she learned new species such as lesser celandine, whitlow grass and Eurasian bittern. Next time she meets Natursnokarna out in nature, she will definitely be able to take the Tornfalken medal, said Åsa Wistrand from Hopajola, an ideal nature conservation association in Örebro, which together with the County Administrative Board, the Nature Conservation Association and a host of other associations was part of the day.
