Shortly after 10.00 they arrived at the School of Economics, where the king is an honorary doctor.
The flags were hoisted and Victoria was in her sunniest mood, especially as she was greeted by double welcome committees: one on the steps in front of the famous Stora Ekporten. And a spontaneous one, who cheered from the top of the balcony!

Victoria also looked unusually tanned, probably the mountain tan from the sports holiday last week.
The Marshal of the Court Lena Bartholdson told to the press that Victoria and Daniel will be informed about different types of research specializations, including research towards Eastern Europe, and but also about entrepreneurship and they will meet some students.

Rector Lars Strannegård welcomed Victoria and Daniel and spoke about the School of Economics' development in recent years, both in terms of investment in art in the building, new educations and about the importance of having an international focus. Researchers, from five different institutions, talked about their respective research areas in the Russian economy, reliable research, family business, the global sports market and the art of "bubble jumping".
Victoria and Daniel also met three students who told about their experiences of studying at the School of Economics.

The School of Economics about the visit yesterday:
"The Crown Princess couple expressed a great interest in knowing more about what characterizes successful family businesses that can drive innovation, and that are involved in societal development, especially at a local level. In several places, individual family companies are very important employers that provides many job opportunities", says Professor Mattias Nordqvist.
"We had a great conversation, and they were very interested in us students, our backgrounds, and our plans for the future. We talked a lot about the myriad interests and dreams encountered in the halls of SSE, and what an inspiring atmosphere the school thereby presents", says Lovisa Bergdahl, Bachelor student at the Retail Management program.
"The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel were very easy to talk to and it was fun to hear that they were legitimately curious to learn more about why we as individuals wanted to study at SSE, and where we see ourselves in 10 years. I was personally happy that they seemed to appreciate the art at our university! We also gave them a curated selection of my favourite books from the Literary Agenda", says Douglas Bengtsson, Bachelor student in Business and Economy and Co-president and Head of Literature for Art Division.

Victoria and Daniel attend this evening ”Sverige samlas och hjälper” ("Sweden gathers and helps"), Live fundraising evening at TV4.

Directly from Kungsträdgården in Stockholm, artists, aid organizations and guests will collect money for the victims of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Artists Måns Zelmerlöw, Carola and Thomas Stenström participate, among others. Speakers include Jan Eliasson, former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, more guests will be added.
Hosts are Soraya Lavasani and Pär Lernström. Aid organizations that work for the fundraiser are the Red Cross, UNICEF, UNHCR and Save the Children. The fundraising resources benefit all aid organizations.

It has been said that Jan Eliasson (former Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and now Chair of SIPRI) is one of Victoria's mentors and we can see that they have a very warm relationship. Eliasson has told about his visits to Haga Palace and meeting Victoria and her family.

Victoria was very moved of the children's choir's singing, she was seen having tears in her eyes at the fundraising concert. Both she and Daniel were seen singing with the songs performed at the concert.

Victoria and Daniel attend Norrtälje's 400th anniversary celebration on March 29. The King and Queen should have attended, but they attend on that day the memorial service for HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

- It is of course sad that we can't show the city to the royal couple, but perhaps even more fun that Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel come here. They have not previously been on an official visit to Norrtälje so there is a lot we are happy to tell and show. I have had the privilege of meeting the Crown Princess couple before and they are very nice, so it will be nice to show our beautiful city to them, says Nils Matsson, chairman of the Executive Committee.
Victoria and Daniel will during the visit see both old and new parts of the city, take part in history and current culture, and meet elected representatives, business representatives and the city's residents.
Photo opportunities are planned for all the destinations that Victoria and Daniel visit.

Our Secretary-General has just returned from her visit to the border between Romania and Ukraine, where she met those fleeing. We also talked about our Swedish efforts, and about how we receive the children and families who come here to Sweden. We have far-reaching experience of working with children on the run. They visited our Center for support and treatment, where our psychologists told us about how we work with trauma processing.

Victoria and Daniel visit Swedish Prosecution Authority today in Söderort and Södertörn's Prosecution Office.

The purpose of the visit was to gain in-depth knowledge of issues concerning the judiciary.
Prosecutor Petra Lundh and Chief of Staff Gunnar Merkel began by showing around the authority's premises.
Victoria and Daniel talked to a number of employees who informed about the Prosecution Authority and its assignment. Among other things, the couple was given a review of two examples of cases that the authority has recently handled: one about crime in a criminal environment and one about sexual abuse.
In the autumn of 2021, Victoria and Daniel visited the Svea Court of Appeal and in the coming year they plan to visit more authorities and organizations that work with issues within the judiciary.

Victoria and Daniel were told how some of the voluntary defence organizations are working due to the war in Ukraine. Partly with regard to the reception of refugees from Ukraine, and partly to take care of Swedish citizens' interest in both contributing to the support efforts and strengthening their own home preparedness.
Representatives of the Swedish Voluntary Motor Transport Corps, the Swedish Blue Star, the Swedish Civil Protection Association, the Swedish Women's Voluntary Defence Organization, the Swedish Red Cross and the Swedish Federation for Voluntary Defence Education and Training presented their current issues and activities.
Victoria and Daniel were also presented the contents of a home emergency equipment that aims to cope with a week of emergency preparedness regarding heat, water, food and communication based on the authorities' guidelines.
There are 18 voluntary defence organizations in Sweden that contribute to the country's civil and military defence.

According to the updated calendar, Victoria and Daniel will not attend the Sweden Dinner on 29 April.
They will attend at the Doctoral degree Conferment Ceremony in the Stockholm City Hall.

The Center's goal is to offer children who have fled war-torn Ukraine a safe environment with routines and social interaction, with Ukrainian project managers and supervisors. The non-profit organization Beredskapslyftet is behind the Ukrainian Children Activity Center. The Center was opened on Tuesday 19 April for 100 children aged 6-10.

Victoria and Daniel met Maled Leffler, chairman of Beredskapslyftet, and co-founders Oscar Stege Unger, Fredrik Hillelson and Sara Källström, Head of the Public Department at Nordiska Museet. The conversation touched on the background to the center, the collaboration with Nordiska Museet and Beredskapslyftet's other initiative A safe start in Sweden.
The center's project managers Denys Gordiyenko and Delal Apak joined and they told about how the center is built, about the children and what a week looks like. Also Kateryna Kuznetsova, teacher at the center, participated in the conversation. The focus of the meeting was also on Denys and Kateryna telling about how they came to Sweden, their experience of living in Stockholm and what everyday life with children looks like now. The visit ended with the Crown Princess couple meeting a group of students during a lesson.

Daniel arrived to the Doctoral degree Conferment Ceremony at Stockholm City Hall, there was a general rehearsal.
Victoria arrives a little later. The ceremony starts at 17.00.

The king has a party at the palace, Princess Madeleine is going to a gala dinner in Florida - at the same time as Prince Daniel gets the great recognition for his work in making the Swedish people feel better and move more.
Right now he is being promoted to an honorary doctor of medicine at Karolinska Institutet - and he and the Crown Princess are showing their love to everyone!
And guess if it was a proud prince who came stepping over City Hall's courtyard!

HRH Prince Daniel has been appointed honorary doctor at Karolinska Institutet. The prince received the honorary doctorate in connection with a graduation ceremony in Stockholm City Hall on 29 April.
Karolinska Institutet awarded Prince Daniel the honorary doctorate due to his long-standing and strong commitment to public health.
At the graduation ceremony, Prince Daniel gave a speech of thanks in which he said, among other things:
"Being appointed honorary doctor at the renowned Karolinska Institutet is a great honour.
But above all, I see it as a recognition of all the people who are seldom recognized, but who devote their time and energy to helping children and young people establish healthy habits early in life."

Press release from the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten County:
TRH The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel visit Norrbotten to take part in the industrial establishments that take place in the county.
The visit on 10 May begins with the family company Polarbröd, which is run by fifth generation bakers and has roots in Norrbotten bread culture since 1879. This year the company celebrates 50 years. After the devastating fire in August 2020, the new facility will be inaugurated in the presence of the Crown Princess and Prince Daniel.
Then the visit goes to Hybrit Development AB and their pilot plant for direct reduction of iron ore pellets with fossil-free hydrogen. SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall are jointly developing a fossil-free value chain for iron and steel production with fossil-free electricity and hydrogen in order to minimize carbon dioxide emissions throughout the value chain.
The day ends with a visit to Luleå Harbor where the Crown Princess couple gets a guided tour of the harbor area with the world's most modern tugboat Vilja.

The first event is the inauguration of Polarbröd's new bakery in Älvsbyn. Victoria and Daniel got a tour at the bakery.
The formal inauguration of the bakery was done by Victoria unveiling the Polarbröd's sign, which in a miraculous way was almost the only thing that survived the fire in 2020.

The second visit goes to Hybrit Development AB and their pilot plant for direct reduction of iron ore pellets with fossil-free hydrogen. SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall are jointly developing a fossil-free value chain for iron and steel production with fossil-free electricity and hydrogen in order to minimize carbon dioxide emissions throughout the value chain.

Luleå offered sun when the Crown Princess couple visited the harbor today!
During the visit, Göran Carlsson, acting CEO of the Port of Luleå told about the work of greatly strengthening the capacity of the port in order to be able to handle more goods in the future than today and receive more ships.
- Strongly strengthening the capacity in the Port of Luleå is a prerequisite for the societal development and industrial growth that is now taking place in northern Sweden. The Crown Princess couple's visit shows that Norrbotten and Luleå are in focus also on a national level and we are happy that today we had the chance to tell more about our important work.
The development of the port and the county's new establishments interested the Crown Princess couple, who stated that there is a large and exciting development going on in the county. The visit ended with a tour of the port area with the tugboat Vilja, the world's strongest hybrid-powered, ice-breaking tugboat.

There is an enormous amount of knowledge within the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. I myself have seen this up close when I had the privilege of attending the diplomatic program. And my whole family places great value on sharing that knowledge when we meet you - both here at home and around the world.
What is also present at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs - and which is at least as important - is a deep and genuine commitment to Sweden. And for Sweden's role in the world.
This commitment permeates all our contacts with you. And it's something that Prince Daniel and I enjoy immensely during official visits and other travels.

When Fredrik Wersäll was appointed The Marshal of the Realm on 1st September 2018, he had been President of the Svea Court of Appeal since 2008. His previous posts had included Prosecutor-General, Justice of the Supreme Court, and Director-General for Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Justice.
And of course Anneli Hulthén, the Governor of Skåne County, attended the event.

These photos from from the visit to Hyllie, a new construction project and climate-smart residential area built so that everything is recycled from households and the electricity comes from the waste facilities that the residents use. I'm sure this interested especially Victoria.

The Crown Princess couple came to Malmö the Court of Appeal's 200 year celebration. Then the municipality showed off the new district that has emerged in Hyllie.

The visit to Malmö began in the Hyllie district, where the Crown Princess couple were given a tour of the area. Hyllie is Malmö's largest development area with a strong focus on climate-smart solutions in energy, waste and mobility.
The Crown Princess couple then visited the Court of Appeal over Skåne and Blekinge to attend the 200th anniversary celebration, which began with a lecture on the history of the Court. Victoria got the anniversary book. After lunch, the Crown Princess couple attended the anniversary ceremony in the Court of Appeal's atrium.

Victoria and Daniel had today a meeting with the Swedish Energy Agency's Director General Robert Andrén and Maria Westrin, Head of the Department of Systems Analysis, Security of Supply and Statistics.
Andrén and Westrin told about trends and the outside world's impact on the energy system, the Swedish energy system now and in the future, the energy market in the light of the pandemic and the Russian Federation's invasion of Ukraine. They talked also about security of supply and research, innovation and business development.
