HM's brooch is stunning!
Total change of subject, but when do HM, DOE, and Duke of Cambridge attend the Magna Carta event in Surrey? Same day as Order of the Garter?
 
Indeed all three women looked great today.

Yes, the event is on the same day of the Garter Service, June 15th.

:previous: Well, Anne handled that with grace, aplomb and humor. Made sure the cameras caught that the cake board slipped, not that the cake was a problem.
 
The importan thing is that all the three of them had a good laugh about it... Hope at least the cake tasted delicious :)

I agree with you. The photo of Countess of Wessex stepping into the car should have been deleted by the photographer.

The Queen has attended a celebration marking two centuries of Gurkha service with the British Army. This evening's ceremony in London featured battle re-enactments and also paid tribute to those killed in the recent earthquakes in the Gurkha's home country of Nepal. .

I love it! A family outing and these pictures lay to rest the idea that this family isn't very close. A very huggie kissie bunch from where I'm sitting. Gotta love it.

These are the kind of pictures I enjoy of George. A kid doing what kids do when out with the family.
 
The kids are all adorable. It's really lovely to see everyone out together.
 
These are great photos! And a lovely way for the public to see the kids in a way that isn't too intrusive for them.

Everyone looked like they were having a great time. I can't remember the last time we saw the Duchess of Cambridge at a polo match- I've missed her casual looks, she always looks best in them.

George is absolutely precious. It's lovely to see him out, playing with his cousins. Catherine looks great in her casual attire. I'm sure she and William were happy to spend some time outside with their relatives.

I think it's lovely that George has quite a few cousins who are of a similar age to him - I can imagine that he will never get bored at family gatherings, particularly as Savannah and Isla appear to be quite lively!

The photo of Charles and Zara is wonderful, I agree it's a rare warm moment between the two. I love these kind of casual events as we can see the royals just being themselves.
 
Apparently the Queen and (most) of her grandchildren went out for dinner this week...

The Queen was also watching polo yesterday, dressed in pale pink, to present The Cartier Queen's Cup at Windsor Great Park, Berkshire.
The night before, the monarch had been joined for an 89th birthday celebration by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their first night out together since the birth of Princess Charlotte.
Held in a private dining room at the exclusive Berry Brothers & Rudd club in Kensington, the evening began just after 8pm and continued until nearly 11pm.
Guests included Princess Anne’s children Peter and Zara, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Afterwards, Prince Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie headed out to the launch of new London nightclub, while the Duke of Duchess of Cambridge took the sensible option and headed home.
