The Princess of Wales has returned home after surgery.
Very good news!
The Princess of Wales has returned home after surgery.
I was shocked, shocked I tell you, to see this misinformation, used as a photo caption, in the erstwhile Times.
It will certainly be corrected soon:
“Both Kate and the King were treated at The London Clinic. The princess was admitted a day before her father-in-law, who had surgery on an enlarged prostate on January 17

Lazy journalism. Really, nothing and nobody pays attention to detail any longer.
Bunte online, the German tabloid, reports, that Princess Catherine is now living in Adelaide Cottage at the premises of Windsor not far from the castle Windsor.

The cottage is said to be freshly renovated and was the favourite of Queen Victoria. There interior is absolutely splendid, says Bunte.
But the cottage has only four bedrooms - so. one for Catherine and William and one for each of the kids... That means none for any staff. I hope, this is good news and the Princess fit enough to manage everything.
I hope that Princess Catherine can take it easy and not do too much during her time of recuperation.

The Waleses have all gone to Sandringham for school half term, which started on Saturday, according to media reports.
That is indeed good news and that they will all be able to spend time with the king!
And now he can't be active, he can't be doing new stuff - just sit and wait helplessly.
So, I think, it is a good idea, that the family will come together!
I would be surprised if the kids could see Grandpa unless it is under COVID-like conditions. Face masks and social distance for everbody. It's great news that Catherine was well enough to travel to Norfolk. Hopefully they will be able to spend some time with the King while they're there. I imagine a visit from his grandchildren will be a great mood lifter.

I have been amazed that the media has so busy looking for the "real" truth while ignoring the reality when it's right in it's place. The reason the King is not doing "Front-Facing" duties is because his immune system will be severely impaired by his treatments. The kids are going to be face-timing or chatting at the window because as loveable as they are, they are still a primary school Petrie dish.
How KP handled this was very different in the way Buckingham Palace handled the diagnosis of the King. I wish KP used the same transparencyI wish Kate a speedy recovery, but the press release is poorly written. By being so vague it is inviting speculation, especially when the hospital stay and recovery time is so long. Right away, they have to deny that it was cancer related.
There is an information vacuum, and it will be filled with rumours and wide speculations. This is more so since Kate is young and in the prime of her life. If she was in her 70s like Charles, you can just blame it on old age. But for someone in her 40s to be in the hospital for 2 weeks? People will have questions.
Yeah, but still: We do not walk in their shoes. We do not know, what their motivation is. They might have their reasons. Sometimes openness causes more confusion, than secrecy...How KP handled this was very different in the way Buckingham Palace handled the diagnosis of the King. I wish KP used the same transparency
The Prince of Wales has pulled out of a memorial service due to a personal matter, Kensington Palace has said.
William had been due to attend a memorial service for the late King Constantine of Greece at Windsor Castle.
Kensington Palace would not elaborate further but said the Princess of Wales, who is recovering from abdominal surgery, continues to be doing well.
The Prince of Wales called the Greek royal family who are attending the service to let them know he was unable to attend.
