They definitely won't choose Cnut.
They definitely won't choose Cnut.
It really would not surprise me that, if the child is a boy, his name being Prince Richard. The Prince of Wales is an ardent historian and the current news around Richard III might promote the name.
Genevieve and Vivienne (or Vivian) have a nice ring to it plus the Medieval sound and history^^
I would imagine if its a girl, it will be Mary or Victoria. For a boy lets go with George or James. At least that is what I am feeling today.
Will they lets us know if its a girl or boy before the birth ? I'm sure they will know, but is it being made public ?
James is the name of William's cousin (who's close in age to the baby) and Catherine's brother. I don't think it's likely that it'll be used as a first name.
There is a tradition in the BRF that the gender isn't revealed prior to the birth. Catherine has also said that they don't know the gender. I believe it's typical for parents to find out around 18 weeks, so if they're going to find out they probably already know. There have been a few arguments made saying that they don't know, and I kind of agree with that.
Even if they don't know, the tech who did the scan might know. Imagine walking around with that bit of information.....
Hermione, I'm glad you have such a nice name, Genevieve.
Alexandra and/or Alexandrina are both pretty names, and I felt in love with Cecilia or Cecelia, though I'm sure they won't use it for their first baby.
Marianne and/or Marian is very pretty too!
Sophia and Isolde are other beautiful names as well, but I find them unlikely for the Heir.

Then we have another beautiful but traditional names such as Arabella (which I love dearly), Alice, Adelaide, Caroline, Charlotte, Christine(a), Helen(a) and Natalia.
I think Isolde, Genevieve and Vivienne (spelt this way) are perfectly lovely names and certainly Isolde and Genevieve could be used and accepted for a potential future Queen. The name doesn't have to have any history with the BRF it can mean something to Catherine and William.
When you are speaking about the heir to the throne, a name should have a royal history. If Bea had a daughter she named Isolde, no one would blink, but the future queen of England being named for an Irish literary character? I just don't see it happening. There are a great deal of royal and family names to be chosen from.
Like the Danish tradition of Christian and Frederik, needs to be scrapped ASAP because that's boring.
The veto power thing is hilarious! I have no clue why we have a Prince William and Princess Margaret? Do you?
Isolde is a beautiful name and rings well with Queen Isolde. Melissa is an awful name IMO.
