Future Royal Wedding Gowns

I'd vote for the last wedding dress, I think Princess Madeleine will be a fairy-tale princess in it!
For Princess Victoria, I'd advise to chose the second, she'll be one of the most beautiful royal woman!
 
Surprisingly I think she would look great in ice white. It is easy to think differently, sort of pale skin = champagne etc. but I had a great object lesson when my neice got married. She has very natural golden fair hair and her skin is almost transluescent, and so we thought not white as it would be overwheming so she tried on this fabulous ivory silk dress.

We were absolutely stunned and when she asked her mother and I what we thought and we told her the dress was magnificent, and would look absolutely fabulous walking up the aisle. Unfortunately we wanted to see the bride as well as the dress! She just sort of disappeared altogether. The colour totally overwhelmed her. Needless to say she ended up in stunning ice white which surprisingly gave her skin a wonderful blush glow.

But I think that Victoria has an innate sense of her own style and I expect her dress to be spectacular. So long as she does not develop a passion for bows . . . .
 
I really want to see Victoria in a regal wedding dress on her big day.
Something classic but modern at the same time.Designers I would suggest:Valentino,Vera Wang & Oscar de la Renta.I also like wedding dresses by Pronovias.
 
Victoria is an athletic looking girl who dresses mostly in simple lines.
I tend to believe it will be an elegant simple gown something similar to what Queen Silvia wore on her wedding day.
What I believe it will not be is a frou frou, lacy concoction with bows or flowers and petticoats.
 
I think that Victorias dress will be quite simple and clean cut - not with a lot of lace or pearls or such.

And the designer will not be announced until Victoria enters the church - but i think it will without a doubt be a swedish designer (Madeleine i could see in an international designer-dress)

I have no idea but the dress itself is beautiful. And like I said before; it doesn't have to be strapless.

I have no idea what I want to see Victoria and Madeleine in, but please no Vera Wang!
She makes the most boring wedding dresses (according to me). It's mostly strapless with a minimal bodice and all skirt. Above too little and under too much, ugh!
 
 
Alright,not Vera Wang for the Swedish princesses.They deserve way more than that!
Generally,I would like to say that I expect Victoria's dress to be a bit conservative,close to that of CP Mary's perhaps.
Madeleine is going to have more options I guess.
 
I guess Victoria would choose a designer dress that you and I can't afford. But I've got a suggestion concerning the style she'll probably choose.

It's simple, but the lacy fabric makes it special. I really think it woul look good on her.

When it comes to Madeleine, I suggest a little bit more romantic dress with an empire waist. Maybe like this?

Beautiful. I think that Madeleine would look good in both.
 
Will prefer a Swedish fashion designer Crown Princess Victoria would predict. Designer can make a different choice Princess Madeleine.
CP Victoria a more simple, more flashy think Princess Madeleine.
I'm sure both will be able to see perfectly.

Rather awful choices to be honest. I couldn't see either girl in any of those dresses. :)

Beautiful choices, i imagine Victoria will wear something bigger than Madeline, she will go slim line with a lot of detail. :flowers:
 
I believe Sildesotten is close to what Madeleine could wear.
Lighthouse, Victoria's wedding will take place in June, so I guess it won't be that cold. But we can hope for Madeleine, since we don't know the date yet...he he
 
What? I didn't know Marchesa-Georgia Chapman, in other words-designed wedding dresses as well. That would be great, Empress Merel, but don't you think the two Princesses will finally pick a rather "experienced" designer? Not an innovative one, I mean.
 
Could be. But Marchesa designs dreamdresses. It might not be the most innovative because they do the same designs season after season, but they are just a true dream.

Well, so far there are "Hollywood" good, bad and spectacularly tasteless, millenium "High Street bling" a couple of "Nun on the Run" offerings and last, but unfortunately not least, a couple of over-structured negligees along with the obligatory exploding merangues. :eek:

However, there is not one "Regal", "Royal", or even faintly "Aristocratic" let alone "Majestic" offering in the whole bunch. :ermm:

I want Victoria's wedding to be grander than Charles and Diana's. I think she should wear a dress by Valentino.
 
I doubt whether Victoria is the type to have a wedding that eclipses Charles and Diana's. I don't think anyone's wedding can eclipse that event.

This is exactly what I'm thinking too!!

I wish she is not wearing the same tiara as her mother did, but I think she will do so.

Well June 19th we will know!!

No matter what, I think she will be georgeous! :flowers:

(And I pray for a pretty flower bouquet like most of the royal brides had, not a "mess" like the one CP Mary of Denmark had. Or CP Mathilde of Belgium. Both had ugly flowers. Just my opinion. :) )

You've selected some beautiful dresses, but I see Madeline in something "hollywood" like your selections. But not Victoria. :flowers:
 
I got engaged the same time as Madeleine and have similar colouring and features as her so its very interesting to hear all of the above suggestions for wedding dresses as I'm in the process of choosing my own too!

So I have a quick question,if anyone can help me..for my wedding dress I would like to have a dress with some sort of sleeve (either long 3/4 length or cap) as it's a formal religious ceremony. And this got me doing some research online and the only pics I could find with these styles of dresses were royal weddings.

Is it usual for royal brides to have sleeves on their dresses? And have any royal brides gone with a strapless gown?

I personally would be very surprised if Victoria didn't wear a modest style gown, and I agree with above comments that Madeleine has more freedom when choosing her wedding gown, however I have a feeling that hers will be somewhat traditional too...just a thought.
 
From Princess Madeleine's fashion thread Boris mentioned that Princess Madeleine wore a Lars Wallin dress to Nobel (the same dress as last year - but altered)..so this got me thinking, a Swedish designer whom Madeleine has worn to important events..could this be the man who designs her wedding dress?! I had a look at some of his wedding dresses online and they're very nice
