Fun video indeed! Can't miss little Vincent's dance ;)

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #45, 2018.
Written by Marianne Singer.

Every year the Hubertus Hunt (or chase if you will) takes place on the first Sunday of November and it marks the end of the horse-riding season. Cross country racing that is.

And let's start by confirming that it was indeed Mary's nephew, Michael Woods, son of Patricia Bailey, who went with moster Mary and onkel Frederik to the Hubertus Hunt.

The whole family arrived in the new carriage, which is a present for Frederik on his 50th B-day.
The family arrived at 11.00 and were served coffee and cocoa with cake as well a port, not for the children though. ;)

Some 30.000 spectators have turned up on this cool day to have a look at the riders, especially around the infamous pond, which had been filled up with cold water for the occasion. But only one rider fell off this year.

Bella is very much a horse-girl, she pointed and gesticulated ad explained away to her family about what she observed, while Josephine contended herself by providing the photographers with a great motif.
This course is 11 km long with 32 obstacles, which is traversed by various classes of riders, from ponies to adult riders.

The winners had to be presented with their trophies and this year Mary for the first time presented the winner with HKH (Her Royal Highness) Crown Princess Mary's Honorary Prize. - Previously the prize was awarded and named after PH, and now Mary has taken over.
Isabella presented the trophy to the Hubertus Pony Winner.
Several of those taking part in the race belongs to the winder circle of friends around the DRF. Also James Iuel-Brockdorff, who came in third in the adult race and who Isabella also shook hands with.

Vincent was observed dancing the currently popular floss-dance.

Also accompanying M&F on the balcony were Countess Mette Ahlefeldt-Laurvig from Tranekær Mansion, where M&F have been several times.
Mette Ahlefeldt-laurvig, have ridden in the Hubertus Hnt several times and she brought with her her daughter Emilia.

Thank you polyesco. Doesn't Mary's father live in Denmark now?

I believe that's no longer the case. I know he lived in Denmark for a bit after the marriage. Then again a few years ago, maybe? But I do believe he and Susan have a permanent home base in France whilst also spending time in Oxford, where Susan is from.

But I am probably wrong there somewhere.

You're right - I ended up finding John Donaldson's Wikipedia page and it states that he was a maths professor at Copenhagen University from 2004/6, though there isn't any information on the page on his whereabouts now. He also, according to them, was a professor at the KAIST in Daedoek Innopolis in South Korea.

:previous: If Bella and the rest goes, there is a good chance Josephine will change her mind and go as well - even if she is busy visiting a friend or really can't see what this handball thing is all about. :D

M&F and three of their children's have just arrived for the finals in handball.

Mary looks great!
She and her daughter Bella, wore matching silver-hair-claps in their hair.

Frederik was interviewed briefly and he reassured us that the good relationship with the NRF is still intact... ;)

They had been driving for three hours to get to Herning.

Mary had a brief comment before the match: https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige/danmark/det-forventer-kronprinsesse-mary-sig-af-vm-finalen

"I say like my husband - the demand is a victory." (Tricky to translate.)

With a photo: https://www.billedbladet.dk/sites/b...9_8grid/public/media/article/untitled-6_4.jpg

Christian looks nervous.
Perhaps he will be presenting medals in a short while?

ADDED.
It was a jubilant Frederik who took part in presenting the gold medals and hugs to the Danish team.

ADDED:
The CP family was pretty enthusiastic as you can tell from this photo: https://www.billedbladet.dk/sites/b...9_8grid/public/media/article/untitled-6_5.jpg

Congratulation to all Danes for the world title! Of course I was rooting for Germany to make it to the finals but I am sure they would have been trashed there by the Danes ;) Well done and well deserved.

I am happy for Mikkel Hansen, I guess he is the best player in the world and deserves the title world champion as does the rest of the team, they were simply the best team of the tournament!

Thanks, Iceflower. :flowers:

Never fear, Daily Mail is here...
Finally some good pics of Mary - and Christian.
And we can rely on Daily Mail to inform us that Mary was born in Tasmania, lest anyone should be ignorant of that fact.

Seeing Frederik, Mary and children there... all dressed in red and white cheering so committed and happy and proud... and Frederik handing out medals to the team with hugs and tears in his eyes... it was a wonderful evening.

Judging by the thousands of comments this little loved family has become even more loved.

We were proud Danes yesterday, they did well the Danish handball teams. Congrats to them.

The cheering royal team:

and Christian always a sweetheart with a hug to his mom

It is so cute to see how Christian is his mom's boy and Isabella is her daddy's girl. At least in the few glimpes we see in the public. Vincent and Josephine are still so young that they are very fond of their mother, but Vincent starts to look very much up to his father

It was great to see (almost) all of the family attending the match. I love this photo of Isabella cheering and filming the event on her phone - she's turning into a typical teenager! :D
I loved the red colour coordination from the family at the event too.

:previous: That will probably also be dissected by "experts". :D
So far I've seen two articles full of "experts" interpreting the fact that Bella was enthusiastic last night and that Frederik hugged most of the handball players he presented medals to.

I haven't bothered to post them, but I can sum the articles up in one sentence: Captain Obvious strikes again!

You've got to love a family that realises that being a "supporter" is a physical sport in its own right! :bounce:
