The music is very exciting. I do agree that Britain has put out some of the best music in the modern age. Right now the British music and television scene is a lot fresher than what's being put out here in the states

Let's just call it a bowl-shaped petal and we can all move on.

Lumutqueen you need to chill out. Petal, bowl - its the thought that counts. You need to have a more flexible approach. Wasn't it great? To create the bowl live was a brilliant idea.

We did well I think. But Paul McCartney is most definitely past it. And he didn't even do the Frog Song.

So far, I like it--Kenneth Branagh, the pre industrial and industrial era, the Queen's entrance (The commentator's liked it, too.). It looks like they put a lot of thought into it.

The Queen and James Bond's entrance is already on yahoo.lol I didn't think it would take long.

I think the British Lit part is a great idea!! There are so many classics.

I agree, they had fun. That's what matters. They behaved no worse or better than any other country.

It is what it is and there won't be another one for four years.
Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed most of it and most especially the children's lit segment.

I love it! We are up to the Mary Poppins bit and have laughed and cried. Loved the Corgis, The music is great.
I love the theatre so maybe it is not surprising that I think this is great. The transition to the Industrial age was quite moving.
Matt Lauer, who is the voice of the Opening Ceremony actually called the Queen "a Bond Girl." Mededith Viera joins Matt. On to Chariots of Fire...

I think it is fantastic. I did not expect the techno of Beijing. London has shown their contributions to the world, just as Beijing did in the past.
