Queen Silvia's brooch is contemporary but not new - it's from the 1990s, she just has not worn it much in recent years.

"The king and queen closely follows Haddile-case"

Sweden has been involved in small Haddiles fate.
Tens of thousands of people raging in social media and require the expulsion stopped.
Even the royal family affected by the abandoned two-year-old history.
- The royal family is closely monitoring this case, says Bertil Ternert, Director of Communications at the Royal Court.

Here you can write to Haddile be allowed to stay in Sweden.

Migration Board's decision to expel two-year Haddile alone to France, where she would end up in an orphanage has aroused indignation throughout the country.
Politicians and ordinary people raging against the decision described the unreasonable, barbaric, insensitive and cruel.
Royal Family involved
Requirements for legislative change has come from several directions.
Haddiles foster family has received much support from strangers from all over Sweden and on the not giving up. Tens of thousands have signed the petition lists in newspapers and on the internet and more and more protest pages on Facebook turns up.
Even the royal family has been touched by the little Haddiles fate.
- They follow this matter, says Royal Court Communications Bertil Tenert to Aftonbladet.
- In cases like this, you do not make statements. But I can say that the royal family, especially King and Queen is closely following this story, he says.

I doubt anyone in Sweden or who reads Swedish newspapers have been left un-touched by this case. As much as I love my native country sometimes I just wonder what happened to it.

Today, Queen Silvia fulfilled a wish via ‘My Great Day’, the charity organisation which grants children with serious illnesses their biggest wish and of which Princess Madeleine is patron.
The biggest wish of Baker, age 13, was to meet the Queen with his whole family, to show his gratitude for being able to come to Sweden and receive medical treatment, and to be shown around the Palace by her.
