By Mohammad Hassan CAIRO, Dec 14 (KUNA) -- Strategic security expert Major General Hosam Swaylim asserted the importance of the 1st international conference of educational factors affecting the terrorism phenomena and fundamentalism to be held in Kuwait December 26............

Al-Obaid added that over 70 Arab political and educational figures have been invited to attend the event including; Arab League Secretariat Council Chief Prince Talal Bin Abdulaziz, GCC General Secretary Abdulrahman Al-Atiyah, Queen Rania of Jordan, Sheikha Moza Bint Nasir of Qatar, and Women National Council Director Egypt's First Lady Suzan Mubarak. Pet0941 4 0249 ART investment in Jordan rises Amman/ Dec. 13/(Petra)-- Arab Radio and Television (ART) senior officials Tuesday confirmed the company's rising investment in Jordan in more than one field. The company's investment in Jordan is over US $300 million and will be rising by time in the field of media, IT and banking investment, ART CEO Abdel Aziz Yamani said during a meeting on Tuesday patronized by Jordan Tourism Minister Muneer Nassar. Upon directives from ART Chairman of the Board Sheikh Saleh Kamel, the meeting was held in Hyatt Amman and Radisson SAS hotels to emphasize support to Jordan's brave stand in face of terror and terrorists. "With their courageous stand, the Jordanian people have affirmed that the terrorist crimes will never weaken Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II," Kamel told Petra. good to see more and more of such events happening in the middle east and how actively Queen Rania participates in all of them. And ofcourse its always great to have another opportunity of seeing her.

Arab Regional Conference for Family Protection opens

AMMAN — Around one-third of Jordanians reported they were aware that incidents of violence occur in their own families, according to a local survey on domestic violence released on Tuesday.

...... Her Majesty Queen Rania, chairperson of the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA), acted as patron at the conference, which will conclude its working sessions on Thursday.

Queen Rania was recently granted the title of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Patron for Violence Prevention in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, based on her national and international efforts in the family protection field.
