that's a very good point.

What would look good on a woman with a strong muscular build and not much shape like Charlene who is going into her 30s?

maybe ladymichelle !

Simple white dress, basic a-line skirt almost mid-calf. Simple jacket. alright. Not bad and seems to be staying in the budget.

I think she need to buy a slip, but maybe that's just me. (it's that hot in MC?)

Those sandals have to go imo.

Any suggestions for shoes? she seem only know stilettos or sandals and nothing in between -- its those high heels that tie at the ankle and all that darn disco glitter at her feet were too much, imo.

Maybe a few suggestion on her hair? She seems to be totally into the 'wash-n-go' or 'just-got-out-of-bed/pool' look.

Oh I forgot -- that horrible tacky red nail polish - somebody needs to throw that dimestore bottle of nail enamel into the garbage!

Well the outfit is better but she needs a good tailor as the fit is not good. Ok LadyMichele you are young suggest some shoes for this poor woman because the sandels are ridiculous with this outfit. I think she is required to wear flat shoes as she would tower over Albert in anything more than an 1".

Well according to this article of advice for women with broad shoulders, Charlene's latest fashions follow the fashion tips exactly.

Nothing to fancy or fussy around the shoulders, very minimal, very bare. I've seen a lot of pictures of Charlene with this type of outfit.

well, charlene tried but it didnt work because
1. jacket doesn't fit
2. color-white is not her color-no matter how many times she wears it(just a secret i can wear all white because as a black women-white looks great aganist my skin-its the same with any type of tan or brown skin but if u r a red head with pale skin the last thing u need is to wear something white )
3. shoes-where is she going.....to the beach.
4. hair-very sloppy
she just doesnt have any type of fashion sense-im telling u her special friend should dress her. special friend i mean is prince albert
its so sad because other cp have such a nice sense of fashion before they married but charlene is just lost in a maze of white clothes and sandles

Jacket too short& ill fitting for a lady of her height who does not need to be elongated anymore.Sandals inappropriate for the suit& event unless followed by "Muscle Beach Party" attire.Skirt length too short by two & a half inches.Again no stockings?

I think Pa should not dress her or buy her a pacifier. I think Miss Wittstock has managed to come this far& even evince the pity of many to prompt pa being obligated to dress her when there is nothing official announced. As far as I remember white was reserved for very tropical climates and worn occasionally. It is a colour of mourning in the East.
Top to bottom another unstudied fiasco.

The jacket should be longer so as not to make Miss Wittsock look taller and take emphasis away from the upper part of her anatomy to bring all into balance and symmetry. The white on her lovely blonde looks make her look "washed out" one dimensional and colourless. It should be a different shade of white which she should study in swatches as I thought I saw a bright flashlight first when seeing the pics and not the lady herself.

jaya - you are too funny!

ok, so albert should not involve himself in her fashion choice (he hasn't so far). and yes, the outfit is really basic and the color is really bright white. ok. fine. and yes those sandals simply must go. For some reason (not sure why) she always looks like she jumped right into her clothes.

but the white dress and jacket is better than that other outfit she wore to the grand prix last year and at least CW is not smoking a cigarette this time, right?

I think what look good is Miss Wittsock stopping to study the variables and stop accosting my aesthetic sensibilities in this juvenile manner of failed attempt after failed attempt. It would look good if she tried harder and I know Miss Wittsock is quite capable of mastery when she applies herself.

No I am correcting reproving.& subject to your interpretation.
Smoking I did not know she smoked at all I was unaware. I come from a culture where we consider it pornography of the mouth and I do not mean this for Miss Wittsock at all but for all mankind .
"At least" you say reducing this to the lowest common denominator.
"At most" I say Miss Wittsock study, and do better . You have it within you please.

again - that is a very good point. she certainly could do alot better with her wardrobe, if she wished

CW clearly would know how to focus on things that she wants to do (like move across the world to MC, run around subsidized with Albert, take pictures and so on).

I agree, CW could put a whole lot more effort in her appearance (clothes, hair) but maybe her seemed 'devil may care' manner is part of what she is trying to do to keep PA attention - keep everything about herself as basic and as simple as possible and un-polished (some would say crude). I don't think she is all that pretty either - there are many others much prettier than her (I did not say CW is ugly).

Maybe if she puts out too much effort on anything rather than act like naive or like she couldn't be bothered with much of anything except sports Albert might become uninterested.

There are lots of different shades of white...and very few people can wear pure white. Silk or diamond white (just off white) is the most popular color for wedding gowns. A very fair-skinned friend of mine wore 'oyster' (more on a beige) for her wedding and looked fine...it photographed well. Mine (the wedding never happened though) was called 'candlelight' which was a soft ivory... It's just a matter of finding what works for her and then using that knowledge. Remember, Diana wasn't born a fashion icon: no slips, frumpy "Sloane Ranger" clothes...it wasn't until the late 80's/early 90's that she found her own style.

Hmmm shoes are my favourite matter... but I think that the style I like is similar to the style of CP letizia... very High Heels and famous designer.. ( in this moment I'm Crazy for Pedro Garcia...I'm only 1mt and 64 cm...so i can wear it..)

Yes, that pair of flat shoes is very ridiculous... As per dresses there are kind of shoes that you cannot wear if you attend official function or event.. Is not my opinion but is a dress code bon ton. That pair of sandals can be weared with jeans, or with dresses ...ex out for shopping, on the beach, or walking in the streets..

It's the season of flat shoes, so she has got a lot of opportunity...but I think that she should wear a 1-2 "" of heels, because if she wears a pair fo flat shoes, her foots can look too long...

IMO, The withe color is out. i mean that if you wear a with jacket, you should wear a black skirt , or a withe skirt with black jacket.. The total withe look is out, because she is not going to the altar..and also because the ensable she is wearing is to "heavy", I do not know how to explain it , but it looks "too much" withe dress, withe jacket, with purse...

Also, the total withe look is a look for daytime (ex. CP Letizia on her engagement day.. Tha Armany was great!!!!) and I think that withe is not a good color for Charlene... As Jaya already says, she looks "washed out"...

I don't think she looked horrible, but I also think she needs to make some major adjustments.

1) The sandals need to GO! She could have worn some cute strappy heels. Not too high so as not to tower over Albert.

2) The "white-on-white" suit. Wedding, anyone? She could have chosen to wear different shades of white together instead of the same blindingly-bright-white all over. Or, thrown in some pastels, or even do a à-la-Mary, use some nuetral tones. Beige, light tan, cream color, bone color. Also, use some other fabric to break up the mono-tone look.

3) The hair. Charlene, dear, what is wrong with wearing a head-band? Or your hair half pulled back? Or in a pony-tail? Or in a chignon?

4) Fine, if she wanted to wear the entire white suit,ok. But add some colored accesories. Bright colored necklace, bracelets, earrings...whatever. Even the bag could have been another color.

Alright, those are my opinions.

yes, I agree with all of that -- CW could have mixed it up a little bit with her accessories. Choosing textures and shades of color requires something a little more than just basic knowing how to match a few colors -- Charlene doesn't have it, imo.

And really CW is just a basic chick, right? Bracelets and scarves and the other dangle dangle would just trip her up and keep her from jumping as high as she can as fast as she can when Albert snaps his finger

Keeping things basic is different from retaining the essentiality which Pa deserves as Head of State;Simplicity is different from from simplified practice &this will reflect on Monaco and the confidence of the investors.
Strange I find that Miss Wittsock bears a striking resemblance physiognomically to Cheryl Tiegs the top model of the seventies. It is astonishing to look at their photos side by side.I think the angularities of these Plantagenet features are difficult to highlight but not impossible. No human being is ugly until they do something of the sort.
The second part of your commentary about this being the 'hook' to keep Pa is too trite and I credit him and Miss Wittsock with more.Frankly I think perhaps Miss Wittsock has become complacent with mediocrity which is generationally born. Why must we visit the "Atlantis " of fashion everytime we see this lovely Cheryl Tiegs look alike?
