Here is a thread for the Royal Chelsea Flower Show starting on Monday, so we can post news and photos of the show. (Royals and Gardens.):)
This is the first show I can remember that HM the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will not be attending as they are in Canada.

Prince and Princess Michael of Kent were there:

got articles from Hello! check it out! 24 MAY 2005
Rockers and royals alike turned to flower power this week as the annual Chelsea Flower Show got underway in London. Sophie Wessex was pictured sharing a joke with 88-year-old Army veteran Wally Offord at one of the displays, while former Beatle Ringo Starr came along to open another of the other attractions.

The Countess joined Wally for a pint of Spitfire Bitter at the Chelsea Pensioners' Garden. Built to look like an idyllic oasis from the England of 1945, the design aimed to recreate "a soldier's dream of Blighty".

And Sophie wasn't the only royal enjoying the fun. Her husband Prince Edward and brother in law Prince Andrew were there too. Princess Anne was meanwhile doing the honours at the launch of a new rose by horticultural company Harkness, who rewarded her for her efforts with a full basket of the pale pink "Elisabeth Casson" bloom.

The annual event also attracted some big names from the world of showbiz. Rod Stewart arrived hand in hand with his bride-to-be Penny Lancaster, while veteran actor Michael Caine was likewise spotted checking out the verdant creations. Green-fingered musician Ringo Starr was on hand to open the 4head Garden, which is one of this year's biggest attractions.

"It's absolutely lovely – very peaceful and pleasant," said the performer. "I'm a keen gardener myself and I really love being in the garden. I've got gardens at my homes in England, Monaco, LA and Colorado. Every time I come to the Chelsea Flower Show I pick up ideas that I take back home and use."

Princess Michael at the show. The pictures of her in the pink suit were taken yesterday evening at the annual party Cartier throw to celebrate The Chelsea Flower Show.

Rosy day out for the Queen and her loved ones

It's not often the Queen gets to enjoy a day out with all four of her children, so it was small surprise to see her beaming from ear to ear on Monday afternoon. Even the best efforts of the British weather could do little to put a dampener on proceedings as the monarch met up with her nearest and dearest at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Who is that man with the countess of wessex ? (1st pic)

Its a nice surprise to see Andrew and Charles laughing together.

Nice photos with nice background. Thanks to all for posting. Is it only my impression or is the family closer since wedding of C+C?

Oh, I love those pics! They are amazing! Thanks fanletizia for posting them! So good to see one big, happy family together!
I love the pic, where Prince Charles and Prince Andrew laugh. Wonder what made them so happy. :D

Sophie looked nice that day.

She certainly did, but I think she always does. She is always appropriately dressed and has a lovely figure and beautiful facial features, and, very importantly, the ability to smile genuinely yet keep her lovely grey eyes wide open without them scrunching up at all. There's a really beautiful photo of her on the cover of a recent issue of "Majesty".

I thought the Queen looked particularly good, too. I think that plum colour suits her. Everyone looked as though they were enjoying themselves. It was a pleasure to see these photos.

Did the Duchess of Gloucester get a haircut? Its a lot more flattering than I've seen on her before. Some of the Chelsea flower exhibits were a little bizarre. Maybe the Duchess is laughing at this one?

I never thought the Queen and Princess Margaret looked alike but this picture of the Queen at the Chelsea Flower Show definitely reminds me of her late sister.

She does seem to be a few shades blonder than usual. Maybe she's going gradually ash blonde as a prelude to letting her hair go grey. I think once ladies get into their late 50s and 60s, artificially coloured chestnut-brown hair starts looking a bit harsh.

This was a very nice gathering. I liked what the Princess Royal wore for once. The splash of color was nice. I dont care for the way Princess Micheal and the Countess of Wessex dressed. It just didnt work for me. Purple is such a nice color on the Queen. Also, I think the Duchess of Glouceseter is ageing very gracefully. She looks great. Was the Duke of G there.
