King Carl Gustaf and Victoria attended at the Council of State. At the meeting each minister informs the king and the crown princess about political initiatives, reports and pending legislation in their respective ministries and answers questions from the King.

The royal family attends this evening at 17.00 at the formal gathering of the Swedish Academy at Börshuset (The Stock Exchange).

Svensk Damtidning published an article that Chris will not attend and now another article:
Svensk Damtidning writes that they were at Börshuset, and there was seven chairs to the royal family members, and at the same time Chris's name was taken out of the calendar.
Svensk Damtidning called Margareta Thorgren to inquire about this.
- He's with his children, she says.
Are they sick?
- No, he's with his children
But has something unexpected happened?
- No, he was scheduled to attend. Now I can not talk anymore.
And soon one more chair was put to the royal box, and Chris attended after all.

The first Representation Dinner of the year will take place at the Royal Palace on March 23rd. So far only the King and Queen in attendance in the calendar.

Is it custom/ordinary to have so few engagements for the other members of the SRF in this period of year? Just wondering,since only the King & Queen have been out this month.

Daniel had work events on 16th, 17th and 18th January. Usually the members of the royal family start their work events on mid-January. This year it seems that the king has decided that Victoria and Daniel, and Carl Philip and Sofia can spend more time with their children. Carl Philip and Sofia went to their long trip to South Africa already before the New Year, and Victoria and Daniel left to their private trip last week after Daniel's work events. Margareta Thorgren told in last week's Svensk Damtidning that Daniel is going to be on paternity leave and work a little less now when Oscar is so small.

Thank you for your revision, LadyFinn. I know that Daniel had been out and about but nonetheless the whole family gave me the feeling they were still on private vacations. I was aware of that and it really seems that they 've indulged in longer breaks this year
 
Victoria and Carl Philip attend on Monday at a celebration of Swedish volunteers who served in Finland's Winter and Continuation Wars. The event is organised by Svenska Finlandsfrivilligas Minnesförening, in honour of the end of the Winter War.
At the event Sauli Niinistö, the President of Finland, will lay a wreath on the Finland monument in Finland’s Park in Stockholm.
Around 8,000 Swedish volunteers fought in the Winter War and 1,700 in the Continuation War. Svenska Finlandsfrivilligas Minnesförening aims to ensure that the contribution made by these volunteers is remembered.

Victoria and Carl Philip attended today with Sauli Niinistö, the President of Finland, at a memorial service for the Swedish Volunteer Corps who served in Finland's Winter War. They laid wreaths on the Finland monument in Finland’s Park in Stockholm. The event is organised by Svenska Finlandsfrivilligas Minnesförening, in honour of the end of the Winter War. The Winter War ended on 13th March 1940.

The two of them were there together most likely because king Carl Gustaf is on holiday. He and queen Silvia didn't have any work events last week and don't have on this week either. Usually the king attends at events when the president of Finland attends at an event in Sweden.

Very nice to see the two sibling working together! So it is unsual for both the King and the Queen not to attend this event?

Like I said, I would have expected the king to attend at this event if he wouldn't be on holiday, because president Niinistö attended. But I don't think that the queen would have attended because the wife of the president didn't attend and the queen doesn't normally attend for instance at the National Veteran ceremony with wreath laying - the king usually attends there with Carl Philip. President Niinistö met yesterday also Prime minister Stefan Löfven and The Minister for Foreign Affairs Margot Wallström.

King Carl Gustaf and crown princess Victoria attended at the Council of State today. During Councils of State, each minister present informs The King about political initiatives, investigations and current legislation within his or her department, and responds to questions asked by The King. The King leads these Councils of State, in which The Crown Princess also participates.

The king hosted today a lunch to Staffan de Mistura, the special envoy for Syria of the UN Secretary General. Crown princess Victoria and prince Daniel attended at the lunch. Staffan de Mistura is the main speaker at Stockholm Peace Talks, where Victoria attends today. Tord Magnuson is the chairman of the Board of Interpeace Sverige, which organizes Stockholm Peace Talks together with the City of Stockholm, and he attended at the lunch too.
Staffan de Mistura is an italian-swedish diplomat. His father was italian and mother swedish.
