Princes de Asturias time and time again decline their attendance to events of other real families with the exception of the silver wedding of the princes of Luxembourg. 6 of 2006 July.

It is truth well that to the great celebration of Luxembourg as kings only went Carlos Gustavo and Silvia of Sweden. Idt20, I don't think that this kind article are very interseting for at least two reasons :First it's a lies tissue and secondly none of the informations has been checked. Result : all is false.

I have a lot of difficulties to understand how a journalist can pretend to write a paper whithout the elementary rules of seriousness.

This article is stupid, own of a yellow press without any information, which commits several mistakes and which is in a very slightly trustworthy way. There looks like a mixture of copied articles of the German press and of commentaries taken of forums where there take part persons who hate Letizia and in those who write to themselves a lot of lies.

Beginning because it is evident that the Princes were in Luxembourg, who has written this has not worried in verifying or asking it.

The rest of the article continues the same line. Letizia neither takes the decisions, the Prince nor takes them. Their assistance to an acts or others, which Letizia has or not acts in solitary it depends on the House of the King. The Princes do not have an own "house" how it happens with other inheritors, the final decision always is in Zarzuela.

The Princes have not been present at acts of the royalty because or they had other official acts, or because the Kings were representing and it was sufficient. Last year they represented to a wedding before and other one after their wedding ... thing that few ones would have done.

About Letizia and the protagonism is the most graceful thing . She always has tried to be in a discreet second place, and she it demonstrates in every act to the one that comes with her husband. She might use another clothes, have another attitude, come to acts alone where she was appearing in order that the press was happy, to grant interviews to magazines .... and she has never done it. If she wanted protagonism she might obtain it easily, but she has not looked for it.

Then the topic of which she does not want to leave Leonor. Continues being enterteining ... the Princes have a very intense agenda, with acts almost every day, some that last the entire day, acts in diverse zones of Spain ... and where is Leonor? Hidden in the purse of her mother? ... so not in house with her babysitter. The Princes have travelled to Germany, Bulgaria, Portugal and Italy... Leonor has never travelled with them ... always they have preferred that the girl was remaining to house. Leonor has never travelled with her parents to any official act.

This article only criticizes for criticizing, with lies and a half truths, and great it is absent of information. An article of a newspaper that does not worry for investigating anything. Only they publish it to see if it obtains advertising.

The Princes preside tomorrow at the delivery of the Royal Offices in the General Militar Academy of Zaragoza

The Princes of Asturias, Don Felipe de Borbón and Dona Letizia, accompanied by the minister of Defense, Jose Antonio Alonso, and the chief of the General staff of the Army, Carlos Villar, will preside tomorrow, on Friday, the 7th of July, at the annual act of delivery of the Royal Offices in the General Militar Academy (AGM) of Zaragoza.

The Princes of Asturias, who already led this act in 2004 for the first time, will be the managers of putting the final clasp to the promotion of this year. In whole 495 cadets have ended their formation and for five years they have dealed the study plan of the military career turned into lieutenants and ensigns of Top Scale, of Officials and of Complement, officials of the Police, technical engineers of the Army and specialists.

Accompanied by a wide representation of civil and military Aragonese authorities, don Felipe de Borbón will order to break rows " for last time " to the promotion and, the officials will throw their caps to the air as symbol of the end of the studies.

lula, you are so right. moreover, with a little look at the first paragraph it's easy to see that the person who wrote the article is not very aware of what he writes about saying that carl gustav and silvia were the only king/queen there, when beatrix also attended. if you read the whole, you can sense a little bit of envy/anger towards letizia and it's qyuite clear the person who wrote it doesn't like her.

not to mention what he invents things such as saying that letizia is jealous and protective towards the people who take care of leonor. i doubt that letizia would have told him that, and it's qutie clear that he didn't know what to write and decided to 'spice' the story up a little bit by adding some personal ideas.

it's a shame they talk about things they don't know....

I'm running through posts trying to catch up...

Letizia looks great on those photos taken at the Luxembourg's Silver Wedding Anniversary celebration. She has a 1920's movie star look with the wavy hair style. Very retro classic, she stands out nicely. I like that she, or her stylist, is making a different hair style for every ocassion. Just the detail on the other set of pictures Lula posted on # 77 shows how a small detail on having the hair comb to another side makes her looks so different. I believe the skirt she wore during the Anniversary was the same she used during their New York visit, I don't know if it's a Caprile design but I remember that she had a very big white shirt to provide contrast. The one above seems to be that the skirt was turned into a full dress with a top being added.

And is so nice to see Princess Anne of Britain joining her cousins in these activities. We usually see her brothers as the ones representing Britain. Nice change!

On the articles or reports about Letizia being too protective, she is a first time mother. That's just normal, and being a working mother probably makes her and Felipe more anxious to get home and spent time with the baby. Just like any young couple.

I'm reading as I type that article in Spanish from El Semanal Digital (The Weekly Digital) and believe me, is not worth the binary code used to post it. From paragraph one it goes to present a false image of Letizia as an over protective mother and the article places blame on her for not assisting to more Royal social events like other royals. Then the article, by the end, says that King Juan Carlos is uncomfortable that Letizia is running behind these events that his House always considers priority.

So, what's my take on what I read in Spanish? Don't bother, don't worry, the article is pure fiction out of the mind of an editor trying to put a spin on things he imagines and passes these exagerations as fact. Only with made up stories can they sell their news. That's the power of the yellow press, they can write anything on the royals as if they had live cameras and open microphones on them 24/7.

The article is just made up by a tabloid.

After the picture of family carried out in her wedding day with Prince Felipe with Royal Houses of the world, Princess of Asturias returned to mingle with European royalty in the spectacular frame of the castle of Berg, on the occasion of silver wedding celebration of Grand Dukes of Luxembourg.

The difference from then, is that Doña Letizia in this occasion, was not the great protagonist of the event, but a royal guest like princess Maxima of Netherlands, Mary of Denmark or Mathilde of Belgium.

The previous family photography of European monarchies that happened in Luxembourg, back in April of 2001, in the occasion of the proclamation of Enrique and Maria Teresa like sovereigns, after the abdication of Great Dukes Juan and Josefina Carlota, was the photo of the relief, but still incomplete: it was carried out by Heirs to the throne, then, in his majority unmarried. The schematic of that first summit of XXI st Century Kings, presided over by the new sovereigns of Luxembourg and their son, Prince Guillermo, was an image essentialy of smokings, splashed only by some mulberry and garnet outlines of color coming from the dresses of few present ladies (Sofía de Liechtenstein, Victoria of Sweden, Mette-Marit, then fiancé of prince Haakon; great Duchess Maria Teresa and Princess Matilde of Belgium). Today, five years later, the new inheriting Princess colors the official pictures, like in this occasion, of mantón of Manila, flowers and rose.

The Princes of Asturias have presided this morning in the Military Academy of Saragossa at the delivery of offices to the lieutenants and ensigns of the General Body of the Weapon, of Intendency, Technical Engineers, Specialists and of the Police belonging to the scales Superior of officials, officials and military man of complement, and physicians of the Police.

As we can see the next diner for the Princes is quiet a gala; On the the pics that you have the kindness to bing here we can see that the woman are in gown. The year when the Infanta has presided, her dress : So elegant as usual.

These awards are granted anually by the diary ABC. The Prize "Mariano de Cavia", instituted in 1920, distinguishes articles or chronicles with signature or habitual pseudonym. The Prize "Luca de Tena", created in 1929, recognizes journalistic excellent paths in the defense of the values that inspire the beginning fundacionales of ABC: technical Innovation, literary exigency and informative independence. The Prize "Mingote", restored in 1966, is granted alternative to jokes, cartoons or drawings and to photography.

Last May 24, the juror presided by Gregorio Salvador, Antonio Mingote, Luis Suárez Fernandez, Andrés Ollero and Jose Michael Santiago Castelo, agreed to grant:

• The Prize "Mariano de Cavia" to the chronicle " Sailing the night ", of Juan Manuel de Prada, published in ABC on April 9, 2005.
