Has she become ill. That she suddenly wears a necklace for a daytime Event. Why does she that not more foten. For importter Events like State Vists or the National Day for example.

I thought the same! Unfortunatley we can not see the diamond clasp so we cant be sure, I dont think its the necklace of the asturias award the pearls back then looked more white the joyas looking more ivory but maybe its a pearl necklace of the Four strands joyas de pasar..

It was the Princess of Asturias Awards I was thinking of you can see the diamond clasp at the lunch for the German President last time round.

They also made a "replica?" of Maria Christinas Cartier Pearl&Diamond Tiara. Just a Question, is it confirmed, the Tiara was made by Cartier or could it be a Ansorena Tiara as well?

It looks much better, less like a toy tiara. I would ove to see it worn though it is not likely we will have a tiara occassion any time soon.

Is the update for the tiara that Queen Letizia is using or do they own a copy? Or is the tiara that Queen Letizia is using a loan, like for example the sapphire tiara of Pss Marie of Denmark of Mauboussin.

My understanding is that Felipe acquired the tiara for Letizia as a 5th wedding anniversary present.

I think it woud be great if the tiara could be modified to replace the pearls with coloured stones (eg, turquoise, emeralds or sapphires) to add some much needed colour to the Spanish tiara collection.

An excellent suggest and what a pity its only the 1 diamond fleur de lys a trio would be exquisite one at each end a central one.

The Spanish Royal Arms incorporates the triple fleur de lys of the French Bourbons.

Somehow Letizia's doesn't have a 'head' for tiara's. Or the Spanish house's tiara's just don't fit her. Only the flowery one works for her (but not with those enormous earrings she combined it with in the picture). The light pearly one is also quite good on her; but all this big guns don't work at all.

The Mellerio Shzell tiara and her anniversary gift tiara also look quiet good on her. I think for the bigger tiaras she should wear her hair not so flat but with a bit more volume they would work probably better.

This was the case for Grand Duchess Maria Teresa with the big empire tiara. When she once wore it in belgium with a hairstyle with more volume it looke perfect on her.
 
I think Letizia has the experience and confidence to wear all of the Spanisha tiara's well. I had expected her to be somewhat swamped by tthe large Fleur-de-Lys tiara, but I think she did well there.

Of the 3 larger tiaras, I think both the pearl and diamond tiaras work especially well for her, and I hope to see her wear them more in the future.
 
Smaller tiaras suit Letizia better ,the Floral or Prussian tiara always worked better.

I believe the diamond bracelet belonged to the late Countess of Barcelona.

I prefer this ring to odd shaped gold one that Letizia now wears.

The late first lady of Israel, Nechama Rivlin. Her husband Reuven had been president since 2014. Sadly Nechama had pulmonary fibrosis (why the oxygen) and underwent a lung transplant March of last year. She died in June of complications from the transplant.

It was the Israel state visit to Spain in 2017

I shrug my shoulders: Queen Sofia has not been seen in some jewels for thirty years or more and there were demos in Madrid not that long ago and we just do not see the ice. Queen Letizia does not wear the ice much either.

I suspect it is just the result of an evolution of Letizia's own personal style, to simple and sleek, with few embellishments unless when the job requires her to. Plenty of examples for state visits hosted in Madrid, and on overseas trips to London and Tokyo.
