Only Kate has a fashion thread so I am placing this here.

She was far better dressed than William and Harry were. William and Harry both need to brush their suede shoes before stepping out. Or get new shoes if the suede is worn.
See: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/...d_the_Duke.jpg

Someone recently said royal women need dress for the occasion, while the men need not. Poppycock!

They've added new pictures since I was on this AM! Oh, my gosh, how precious is that?! I can see why your heart melted!
And Daria, I think I know a big fan of William's who would have had fun with him and the video games!

The Duchess of Cambridge proved one again that she's a high street princess as she swapped yesterday's Alexander McQueen for blue L.K Bennett for a visit to the Tower of London.
Laughing with one of the Beefeater guards and with General the Lord Dannatt, Constable of the Tower as she arrived at the fortress, the Duchess looked stylishly sober in her blue dress and conservative navy suede court shoes.
Like yesterday's cream Alexander McQueen, the blue colour of the dress was a nod towards the peace that was shattered 100 years ago yesterday.

This installation of poppies is so dramatic and beautiful. Aside from the war dead, it makes me think of those who lost their lives in the tower- Anne Boelyn, Katherine Howard, so many others that are part of royal history.

Very glad they visited to help publicize this wonderful work of art.

The article stated:
'Kate said that the poppies were wonderful.'

I still have some Shirley poppies in bloom in one of the flower gardens.
The poppies are a dignified flower to remember the soldiers of the First World War.
Truly the poppies are wonderful.

Well, she accompanied the DOE to church. Edit - now that I look at those photos, it's sunny for the DOE and Eugenie. The Queen's car has rain on it. I looked up the local weather and neither the BBC or TWC would give me a hint about the Sunday weather. ?????

I think this set consists of pictures from two Sandays.

It is extremely nice when grandchildren accompany their grandparents to church on Sunday.
I like to go to church with my maternal grandparents and my paternal grandparents on Sunday.

I agree. It's even more so when you see it close up. I went to the Tower of London yesterday, and it was indeed dramatic against the Tower and the colour of the sky. I took some photos of the poppies that I'd like to post here - the arch seen in the last photo was my favourite part of the display (ignore the photobombers below ):

Tomorrow is the Braemar Gathering! Prepare to giggle along with the Queen and Prince. Cabers will be tossed. Sacks will be raced in. Heather will cover the royal stage. Kilts will fly and feet will dance.

One of my favorite events of the year!
