I always wondered does a princess of the blood have to curtsey to a queen consort?

A Queen Consort is still an HM, so yes an HRH does curstey to an HM no matter if they are consort or regnant.
In the UK princesses curtseyed to HM The Queen Mother thoughout her life.

Court protocol generally dictates that an HRH/HH curtsy to an HM, but whether or not it is observed depends on what is deemed as appropriate conduct within the family I'd imagine.

It's possible (?) that when Frederik is monarch that it should be felt unecessary for the daughter of a King, sister of a Queen and aunt of a King to curtsy in public to the new regent couple. Especially if we are talking 15 to 20 years from now. If she did, I'd imagine it may be in private on the occasion of Frederik's accession.

I actually don't recall her curtsying all that much in public to her own sisters.

Now that is major obeisance performed with such dignity. Thank you for that photo.

I find it amazing how HM manages to strike exactly the right stance when someone barely nods a head to when someone observes their own cultural mores and makes obeisance as the Fijians do.

Both giver and receiver totally dignified.

Being that he is a foreign monarch, I'd expect no less.

SILVER WEDDING OF JULIANA AND BERNHARD - British Pathé

In this movie from British Pathe it seems that the then Princess Beatrix is not curtsying to the Shah or to Queen Elizabeth or to King Olav.
I know that queen Juliana didn't like protocol and stuff like this, but it seems a bit too non-conformist to me.
In contrast there is another film where princess Mary(Princess Royal) is not only curtsying to queen Fabiola but is kissing her hand, too!

Why is she kissing her hand? That's a first, isn't it?

I LOVE Dame Sybil's expression. Almost like a queen-off. :)

Does anyone have....

Does anyone have any pictures of Princess Anne curtsying? I know there's the one at her wedding when she's curtsying to her mother the Queen, and the one at Princess Alexandra's wedding, and when Queen Beatrix comes for a state visit, but I don't know of any others.
