Tiaras and Jewels Camilla might use as Queen

Question: Can Camilla wear any crown, brooch or piece of jewelry she wants to or does she have to get Charles permission first? I know other Family members need permission to borrow and wear pieces ‘owned’ by the Crown. Thanks

My take is that Camilla is not the one that controls the royal vaults. She decides what she want to use, or not. No doubt some of it will be in consultation with the King, but for all practical purposes, it will be her decision.

In terms of jewellery to be provided to other members of the family, I suspect C&C jointly decide. The only members that are likely to be provided jewellery by C&C are Catherine, Sophie and Anne. Of these, Anne seems to stick to her own collection. Catherine will ultimately be Queen, so no risk sharing with her. And Sophie is lent pieces of jewellery, as and when required.

I wonder if we'll see anything new on Camilla for Trooping the Colour this weekend?

I'd guess she'll wear either the Guards brooch that Elizabeth II always wore, or something related to the Grenadier Guards specifically.

There will be a SV from Qatar to the UK in December. I hope Camilla will debut the Qatar Pearl set during the visit like Queen Elizabeth II did in 2010.

Would love to see the Dorset Bow brooch and the Richmond brooch reappear in the not too distant future.

Would love to see Queen Camilla use the Kent amethyst necklace sometime.

Yes that would be nice. It seems like forever that it was worn the last time

I'd like to see Camilla wearing the Queen Mary's Devant de Corsage

Do you think that Queen Camilla will wear the Diamond Sautoir Long Necklace of Queen Mary?

Long necklaces aren't fashionable at the moment, so I would be surprised if the Queen chose to wear Queen Mary's long diamond sautoir.

Yes these would be amazing to be brought out more regularly -I thought I read somewhere that they are some of the oldest jewels in the royal vault?

Yes they are. The go back to the Duchess of Kent, the mother of Queen Victoria. I think it is high time that the came out again, as QEII wore them very seldom.

They are indeed. And Queen Camilla has the presence to do them justice.

But Queen Mary also wore it as a double stranded necklace. It would look amazing.

In The Queen's Diamonds it is said that the necklace can be separated into two necklaces and two bracelets. Perhaps she could wear it that way as well? It would look similar to the South African necklace and bracelet, but with extra pieces.

And it is bigger stones, isn't it?

All I would say is that Queen Camilla is quite unpredictable when it comes to jewellery, and who knows if the Queen Mary sautoir, or any part thereof, takes her fancy. We know that she is not averse to playing in the jewel vault, and altering jewellery to suit her purpose. As an example, I would have least expected her to wear the Greville emerald necklace she wore to the German state banquet, having taken the pendant emeralds off it. She also shortened the Saudi ruby and diamond earrings to suit her requirements.
