It’s likely the Duke of Cambridge will join Prince Harry and Meghan at an Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey this afternoon, a palace source says. Richard Palmer (@RoyalReporter)
via Twitter

Sounds like William is going to be taking on a duty today. Interesting that he'd choose a memorial service. Questions about his newborn son could overshadow things a bit. Or at the very least make things...I don't know. It just seems odd.

William takes Anzac day seriously. I'm glad he'll be there. Especially since George and Charlotte will be at school etc

George and Charlotte at school. The baby is sleeping. Likely Catherine is sleeping, too, in-between baby sessions. Not much for a guy to do. :flowers:

Ha as if !! new born baby !!! Also something to do ha ha

Lady Nimue is right. I sent my husband out with his friends after our second was born, and i had a csection. Our first was still having afternoon naps and the newborn was sleeping and feeding.

Catherine and William has household help too, don't forget that.

:previous: We can only ever imagine, but if William appears at the ANZAC Service it will be a mark of respect noted by the ANZAC's and IMO he would possibly reflect and pray that his three beautiful children will never experience the horrors of war.

What we all want for our children but if he’s not there it doesn’t show Disrespect. I’m sure there has been times some royal hasn’t been there goodness me they have done what everyone wanted them to do come out for dozens of media smile show the baby etc etc Now give them a break and do what’s best for his family

Whe William shouldn't return to his engagements?
It's Kate who has just recently given birth, not he.

Times have changed thank god men have paternally leave these days it’s usually 3 weeks yes the women gives birth but both parents raise and care for there babies

Westminster Abbey also tweeted that Prince William will attend today's service. If the service will begin around 12:00, we will see him soon.

William very well could have chosen not to attend and stay home with his wife and his beautiful family. The fact that he has chosen to attend the ANZAC service tells the world that he takes these things seriously. He wants to do what he's been born to do. He has a deep respect for those that have served and given the ultimate sacrifice in war. Its the proof in the pudding to a lot of people that have called William "lazy" and "work shy"

Its also just a couple of hours out of the day. Westminster Abbey is not that far removed from Kensington Palace. He'll be home most likely before the older kids get home from school. He's not abandoning his family to go on a foreign tour or anything like that. He's going to a church service then home again.

All is well.

THE DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE WILL OPEN LONDON BRIDGE STATION

Wednesday 9th May 2018

The Duke of Cambridge will officially open London Bridge Station on Wednesday 9th May.

The Duke will arrive at London Bridge Station by train. He will be met by the Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP and Mr Mark Carne, Chief Executive of Network Rail. The Duke will proceed on foot to the escalators which descend into the new station concourse.

His Royal Highness will meet groups of apprentices, project leaders and long term staff involved in the redevelopment project.

He will proceed across the concourse to meet architects and view the model of the new station before taking his seat for the official opening ceremony. At the conclusion The Duke will unveil a plaque to mark the official opening of London Bridge Station.

London Bridge Station has been redeveloped in a five-year £1billion transformation programme which has created has two-thirds more space for passengers, enabling almost twice as many passengers to use Britain’s fourth busiest station every day. Work began in 2012 with the removal of the old train shed and now for the first time in its history, all 15 platforms at London Bridge are accessible from one central point, simplifying the layout of the station for passengers.

The huge, street level concourse is the largest in the United Kingdom, and is roughly the size of the pitch at Wembley Stadium. Work also included a major track upgrade, a new rail underpass at Bermondsey and platform conversions and extensions, all of which have enabled a 30 per cent increase in train capacity. The development is also helping to regenerate the local areas of Bermondsey and Southwark through public access north to south through the station and hundreds of jobs created with the creation of 80 new station shops, cafés and restaurants.

Yesterday evening William attend Welsh rugby captain Sam Warburton's testimonial dinner at the Hurlingham Club.

I love DIYSOS; it's such a great programme and the best thing is seeing the families' reactions at the end. I'm glad that William is getting involved (I remember Harry helped in a project for a former soldier with his Walking With the Wounded charity); I'll make sure to watch.
