What about the ladies final on Saturday? Would be nice to see her there even though she doesn't much like womens tennis, apparently. When she named the players she admired while growing up, she named several men and only one woman, Steffi Graf. (That's understandable since Steffi was the BEST.)

Anyway, looking forward to seeing her and William on Sunday.

I doubt that she dislikes women's tennis- I think it's more likely that the players she remembers most are also the most famous and best promoted which have historically been men.

She's Patron, not President.

Including Sunday, as Patron she will have attended twice - that's 66% of the entire attendance of HMQ over her entire time as Patron (2 vs 3)

The best information I've seen suggests that the Cambridges will be in Gloucestershire tomorrow.

It's being reported that William and Harry are playing polo for charity at Cirencester Park Polo Club, and that Camilla's private 70th birthday party is tomorrow night at Highgrove. I think it's understandable that attending Camilla's party would trump Wimbledon.

As a Royal Patron it would have been nice if Kate took a few hours off ( what???) to attend and present the Ladies throphy.

She's no Duchess of Kent and that's for sure.

I think its poor form that Kate only ever seems to attend the mens final. I get why she may not be able to attend the womens final this year. Its also worth noting there is a doubles final, mixed doubles final and wheelchair final which she could attend at Patron. All the talk at the moment is about equality in the sport so maybe Kate could send a clear message it isn't just about the men's final...

When comparing Kate and the Queen's attendance its important IMO to remember the Queen is patron of 600+ organisations, Kate has barely double figures. The Queen as sovereign has a number of patronages she is automatically expected to take on, if she attended all of the events for these she wouldn't have time to do anything else let alone be Head of State (imagine if she attended every performance from the groups she is patron of) instead other members of the RF take on the charity as well being able to give it more time.

This will be Catherine's first final as Patron and in total has already attended The Wimbledon final more times than it's previous Patron, HM The Queen.

No one seemed to have an issue with the Kents looking after the shop back them. There is a reason Wimbledon has both a president and a royal Patron.

@tommy100 - If Wimbledon were a horse race The Queen would be there every year. She makes the time to attend the events she likes. She obviously doesn't like tennis as she's been to Wimbledon 2 or 3 times in almost 40 years as it's Patron

Today is more than the men's final. The mixed doubles final are today too with Jamie Murray and Heather Watson on opposite sides. The Duke and Duchess will probably stay for that too. Last year they stayed for the mixed doubles final. However this year, they do have a tour starting tomorrow.

Frankly, the men's finals have been way more interesting than the ladies's final. Plus you have a British Player Andy Murray playing in three men's finals at Wimbledon.

This is Kate's first year at Patron. It's a Patronage that she is going to hold for a long time. She doesn't have to go to everything the first year. Also yesterday when the ladies final was played was Camilla's 70th birthday party at Highgrove.

Love how Kate is already incorporating her patronage of Wimbledon with her other charities

The mixed doubles final are on now and William and Kate were just shown on tv in the royal box. So they didn't bail after watching the Men's final.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron of SportsAid, has sent a message in support of this year's SportsAid Week. In the message, The Duchess praised the ‘commitment and dedication’ shown by the country’s brightest sporting prospects as she encouraged the public to ‘show their support for our next generation of athletes’. She's barely showing! She looks like she's enjoying herself.

Love all those hugs Catherine got from those precious babies.

It's always a treat to see Kate at these sporty events with children. She just shines in this environment!

The Duchess of Cambridge today met with representatives from @BritishTennis and @Wimbledon, @WeAreCoachCore, @JudyMurray and Tim Henman to discuss children's tennis initiatives in the UK and access to the sport at grassroots level.

Not sure if we'll see Kate at Wimbledon in her role as patron of AELTC and Lawn Tennis Assoc. but former champion Andre Agassi had some nice words about meeting Kate and good wishes for her new sister-in-law.?

The Wimbledon legend opened up about meeting Kate at The Championship semi-finals in 2012.
Speaking about the delightful experience, he described the Duchess as “lovely” and “a complete doll."
He told Hello!: ”I really thought she was incredibly pleasant. She was lovely.”
The pair shared the same row of seats in the Royal Box during the event, attended together with their spouses Prince William and Steffi Graf.
Agassi revealed he and his wife had a lovely conversation with Kate at Wimbledon.
