Tonight there is a party for the Danish athletes at the National Historical Museum. Present are also QMII, Prince Henrik, Princess Benedikte and CP Frederik.
The DRF will host a reception for the athletes onboard Dannebrog next week.

QMII said: "Well done, Denmark" (*) to the rowing team who won gold today.
DR1 also covers the party:
Kronprinsen om OL-heltene: Stolt og varm om hjertet
QMII watched the above mentioned rowing team and said afterwards: "It was utterly fantastic. It was a big moment".
Frederik said about the athletes when he went to the party: "You become proud and warm around the heart. (**)
They are doing enormously well in this difficult competition. You don't believe it can get any bigger for each Olympics but th competition is harder and harder for each time.
I have pretty good expectations for tomorrow. There are a couple of medals that are secure, fortunately. I hope they'll be gold.
We can be proud of them and they are good examples to imitate and they have shown that they can do it. They are disciplined and they should have all the glory they can get".
(As so often before, Frederik's quotes can be a bit challenging to translate).
(*) Actually her expression is slightly more modern than this. She has clearly picked up some expressions from her sons and grandchildren.
(**) Danish lesson: Frederik is speaking Copenhagener dialect here. Copenhageners say: I'm warm or cold
around the feet. Jutlanders like myself say: my feet are cold/warm.
I see from the DRF calendar that Joachim and our Marie will attend the closing ceremony together with Frederik.
