Royal Jewellery & Fine Arts Auctions and Exhibitions

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I'm sure these will have been posed before, but I found them while scrolling through my old Royal files and thought they may be of interest, not the best images, but others wanted to see them as well, so I was a litttle rushed, the side images on the first picture are reflections from the case behind. They are from the Romanov exhibition at the then Queens Gallery now the Kings Gallery at Buckingham Palace. 19th January 2019.

Thank you. I haven’t seen these pics before. Each piece is so beautiful. Would love to see the Vladimir tiara worn again soon. I particularly like it when hung with the emeralds.

No I haven't posted them before, I never think people will be interested in things I see. the Emeralds stand out more than the Pearls, my late Queen sometimes wore it empty.

More about this tiara:

I hope Queen Camilla wears this tiara soon.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure to be invited to attend the press preview of the highly anticipated ‘Edwardians: Age of Elegance’ Exhibition at the King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace, which opens today!

Queen Alexandra’s Kokoshnik Tiara, the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara and the Delhi Durbar Tiara are among the highlights of the 300 objects on display, which also include Queen Alexandra’s Wedding Necklace, the Dagmar Necklace, Queen Mary’s Love Trophy Collar and Diamond Stomacher among other jewels.

Does this mean that everything on display is exclusive to the royal (family) collection and that there were no external loans?

* mods please move if there is an appropriate thread already - I couldn’t find it

The Edwardians at the King’s Gallery Buckingham Palace (runs April 25 to nov 25) will display
- the Delhi Durban tiara
- the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara
- Queen Alexandra Kokoshink tiara
- Queen Alexandra’s Pearl and diamond necklace and earrings (worn by the Queen mother and recently by the Catherine when she was Duchess of Cambridge)
- Dagmar Necklace
- Queen Mary’s Love trophy collar
- Queen Mary’s diamond stomacher
- woman of Hampshire brooch
- emerald and diamond brooch from the Delhi Durban parue

Would be interesting to hear if any members are visiting this exhibition on the Edwardians - it looks a very interesting one

Another exciting exhibition in London at the V&A is Cartier (April 25 - nov 25)
It will display a number of royals items
- Williamson diamond brooch (from the royal collection)
- engagement ring of Grace Kelly
- Princess Anne’s aquarmarine pine flower tiara
- Diamond and aquamarine clips (from the royal collection)
- ruby and diamond clips (from the royal collection)
- items from Duchess of windsor
- items from Princess Margaret
- Cartier Indian tiara (from the Gloucester collection)
- Princess Grace of Monaco’s bains de Mer tiara

And many more items from noble families

Again if members are visiting (i am planning for sept) it would be good to see pictures and share info

No exhibition of Queen Elisabeth of Belgium's Cartier Tiara, unfortunately

There is an accompanying book which has pictures and information on the Cartier Halo tiara worn by the Princess of Wales on her wedding - I assumed this meant it was going to be displayed but I have seen none of the press articles mention this

This is a comprehensive guide to what we can expect.

I think the Halo tiara is part of 5he exhibition, but isn’t being headlined given the amount of significant, rarely seen pieces contained within the exhibition. If you scroll down this article it does mention it. Also, if there is account accompanying catalogue with a picture of it in, I would think that means it on display. We will have to wait until our first visitors report back.
