I wonder if any further Spanish Royals will be buried at San Lorenzo de El Escorial as I believe the crypt of the kings is now full.

Nothing has been said yet. But I believe that King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia should be buried there. Something must already be decided, when the time comes we will know.

The Church of the Holy Apostles in Constantinople served as the principal Imperial burial site for Byzantine Emperors and their families.
The Church was founded by Emperor Constantine in 330 but was pillaged and ransacked in 1453 following the fall of Constantinople. It was sadly torn down in 1462 and a Mosque erected in its place.
The crypt beneath was not spared and it took the Ottomans several days to clear the vaults of coffins ,the remains were all dumped into the Bosphorus .
The sultan wanted no trace of any Imperial remains or monuments that could be venerated by the Greek population.

In 1795 a mob inspired by events in France attacked the church and ransacked its interior ,the tombs were destroyed and the coffins in the crypt were plundered and the bones were strewn around.
King Willem II was appalled by what he saw in 1841 and had the remains gathered up and reburied and had the crypt repaired .There was further restoration in 1948 .

The van Solms tombs which were housed at the Domkerk in Utrecht also fell victim to the 1795 French Revolutionary mob violence and were destroyed.
The Solms family tombs were housed at the Zoudenbalch chapel at the Domkerk
(Elisabeth of Nassau who was a sister of Willem the Silent had married the Count of Solms)
The chapel before it was ransacked
