I visited our local museum today for the exhibition of pieces from countess Marianne Bernadotte's haute couture wardrobe, there were 85 pieces of French haute couture clothes, for both day and evening wear. There were items made in 1962 up to the evening dress she wore at crown princess Victoria's wedding in 2010. I've known that Marianne Bernadotte has always been well dressed, but until I saw this exhibition I haven't thought about how much haute couture clothes she's been wearing. There were many pieces from the house of Balmain, but also Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Nina Ricci and others, as well as shoes, handbags and other accessories.
