Princess Kristina of Norway, daughter of Håkon Håkonsson and Margrethe Skulesdatter, was born in Bergen, Norway in 1234. On 31 March, 1258 she married Don Felipe, a brother to King Alfonso X of Castile, in Santa Maria la Mayor in Valladolid. The marriage produced no children.

Christina of Norway is buried in the Collegiate Church of Covarrubias ,in 1958 her coffin was opened for an official examination.
Inside the stone sarcophagus they found a coffin containing the mummified body of a woman and the results of her examination stated that she was 1.72 m (5 ft 6") and approximately 28-29 years old at the time of death.
