Princess Chimi Yangzom Wangchuck, who is also the Royal Patron of Bhutan Ecological Society, conferred Karma Wangdi with the Jigme Singye Wangchuck Outstanding Environmental Stewardship Award.
Karma Wangdi is a forester and an assistant researcher at the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment Research.

The Tshechu, held at Soenamcholing Dratshang since 1997, began this year on 12 November .

The King granted an Audience to the Bhutanese living and working in Kuwait yesterday evening. There are over 3,500 Bhutanese living and working in Kuwait, and approximately 5,300 Bhutanese in the Gulf countries.
The Queen attends at a prayer ceremony this morning to light a thousand butter lamps for those affected by the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria earlier this week.
The King and the Queen attended the 12th De-suung Raising Day celebrations at the Changlimithang Stadium.
De-suung marked its 12th Raising Day today, with around 8,000 De-suups from across the country joining the celebrations.

9th September 2023: We are honoured to share the wonderful news that a healthy baby girl has been born to Their Majesties, The Druk Gyalpo and Gyaltsuen today, coinciding with the 25th day of the 7th month of the Female Water Rabbit Year, in Lingkana Palace, Thimphu.
Both Her Majesty and the Royal baby are doing well.
The new-born Princess is the third child and first daughter of Their Majesties.
Their Majesties extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team of dedicated doctors and nurses, the Zhung Dratshang for all the prayers conducted and to everyone for their well wishes."
