That may be true in Duchess of Alba case, but the Liechtenstein royal is not hurting on cashflow. The LGT bank which is owned 100% by the family, makes around 300 million CHF every year. Here is a news link. https://www.lgt.com/en/news/lgt-reports-good-results-and-strong-net-asset-inflows-in-2020/
The family also owns winery, real estate, forestry, and wind farms. All of these businesses produce cash flow steadily. A New York Times article estimates that Prince Hans Adam spent 18 million a year on art. Here is the NYT article link.

The Fürst and his son the Erbprinz receive no income from the State but all their expenses are met. So their accomodation, representation, transportation, security, facilities, utilities and staff are paid for. The portrayal is "wow, that head of state does it all for free" but that is factually nonsense.

The billions of wealth attributed to the Fürst in popular media are also not the personal wealth but the fortune of the House, with the large art collection as main element.

To paraphrase the late Duchess of Alba: "Rich? Rich? I can not go to the supermarket with a Rembrandt under my arm" meaning that a family can be wealthy in assets but not necessarily in cashflow. The family Von und Zu Liechtenstein is quite extended and almost all of them work for their living. I can not think of any Liechtenstein Prince rolling their Euros or Swiss Francs in Monte-Carlo or Marbella.

Does anyone have any news about Princely family of liechtenstein? I mean especially about children of Prince Alois and Princess Sophie. Thanks

Prince Alois of Liechtenstein comments on the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Dr Craig Prescott, a constitutional lawyer, claims that Prince Joseph Wenzel is participating in government meetings.

"The Prince of Liechtenstein, Hans-Adam II, has already brought his grandson — not the heir, but the heir but one — into “meetings with ministers”. Dr Prescott explained that Prince Hans-Adam’s “more active role in politics” plays a role in the earlier preparations of his heirs.

He said: “I was thinking of Liechtenstein actually because I spoke with Prince Hans-Adam and Prince Alois [Hans-Adam’s son] of Liechtenstein a few weeks ago, and it’s interesting there because obviously the Prince of Liechtenstein has a much more active role in politics.

“They were already bringing, not the heir, but the heir but one, into meetings with ministers, because Prince Alois is exercising most of the functions on behalf of the reigning prince, and his son is already in meetings with ministers occasionally and he’s 26."

It is interesting to know that Prince Joseph Wenzel is participating in meetings with ministers.
I believe it is possible that Prince Joseph Wenzel will participate in more principality activities in the coming years.

Princess Sophie with The Sophie von Liechtenstein Foundation and the Liechtenstein Red Cross jointly launch the Liechtenstein family network project. The aim of the network is to support stressed parents with children from 0 to 5 years early and in a coordinated manner in order to promote the healthy development of the children and to avoid undesirable development.

Pride in Liechtenstein

Last Saturday the first ever Pride event in Liechtenstein's history took place. The princely family were not present. As I understand it from the newspapers, the event was somewhat controversial.

The Hereditary Prince and Princess were instead attending the annual celebration for the Fire Service. Sophie was wearing an unusually bright dress with rainbow colors. Do you think this was a sign of her support for Pride? or a coincidence?
