Is it my impression or Letizia is wearing a "coat" and she will take it off for the lunch?
That's what I think too.

Hopefully it's a coat. To me skirt and train looked like one piece making it very heavy. Letizia always looked like walking forward in hip-deep water , dragging the train along with her legs step by step.

Sweden's Crown Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeline arrive at Madrid's Almudena cathedral, Saturday May 22, 2004, to attend the wedding of Spain's Crown Prince Felipe to Letizia Ortiz.

Madeline's suit was lovely, don't get me wrong, but is it just me, or does anyone else think that the suit, especially the embroidery and neckline of the jacket made Madeline look like she could in her 40s rather than a young thing in her 20s?
I agree, the suit is in a style that one expect more to see in a older woman than Madeleine.
Is the hat new? it looks familiar to me.

Actually, I have to admit, when I saw Madeleine's suit I thought that she was finally wearing some day wear that was appropriate for her age (although the hat choice was a bit questionable). I thought the cut was youthful (not so buttoned up or frilly) and a nice touch with the embroidery. A bit scandalous to wear something so close to white though!

As for Carl Philip - he needs a hair cut!

Oh, and I really do abhor the hats worn by Maxima and Marie Chantal (they look like feather dusters!) and MM's - well it's really just feathers!

Post picture to see it.

Pertegaz did a great job with Letizia's wedding dress. I feel sorry for them, rain estrope a little bit the wedding. Elena and Cristina's children are so cutes and adorables...

O, good. I originally had "A tear or some sweat" but that sounded too cute. Even for me.

I liked the pictures when they were leaving Atocha and arriving at the Palacio Real, and listening to the anhtem of Asturias. They look sweet together. I also appreaciated their public discretion by not kissing on the lips on public. Not that anything is wrong with that but, some people take it too far. I wish them all the best. Given the circumstances, they could not have done a better job.

The fourth picture reminds me of one of the engagement pictures where Felipe is photographed holding tightly onto Letizia's hand as well as his mother's!

Those photos were good. I agree. And it was sunny then too. That was fortunate.

I´m sure this was posted before, but who are the bridesmaids? :)

Best Dressed at the Spanish CP Wedding

This is a thread were it would be nice if everyone posts their own personal best-dressed lists (this time without a poll, cause it's easy to forget people). It does not have to be numbered, just a list of people.

So please everyone, sharpen your minds and post your personal best dressed list! :flower:

Crown Princess Victoria

Princess Madeleine

Crown Princess Mathilde

Crown Princess Maxima

Grand Duchess Maria Theresa

Crown Princess Mette-Marit

Queen Silvia

Queen Sonja

And of course, Crown Princess Letizia!

I´m sure I forgot somebody I like.
