I decided to ask this question here since I didn't know where else to ask it. I was wondering if anyone knows which Jordanian designers, if any, their majesties Rania and Noor use? Please let me know if anyone has any info. Also please let me know if there are any Jordanian designers or not, if there are do they design traditional clothing or do they have a more western feel to their clothes? And how expenisve are they in comparison to designers like Dior, Armani, Versace, Gucci, etc?

note to Balqis:
I love the quote you have on all your messages, the quote by her majesty Queen Rania:
In a world of "many," the real lesson in life is, "we are one."

it is a great quote

Let me try again

Some dresses from Elie Saab's Fall/Winter 05-06 collection.
Given the fact that many if not most of Rania's formal dresses are by Elie Saab, I think its a safe bet we'll see her in one of his gowns this year. Although Im not sure this collection is as good as his previous ones. But we should still keep in mind that Rania's dresses end up looking very different and much better than the dresses worn by the models.

two outfits from Valentino's Fall 2005 collection.
These reflect Rania's style I think, particularly the white one with its emphasis on the waist.

Lots more from Elie Saab. The trademark detail and workmanship and eastern femininity is still there. No wonder Rania looks better in his gowns than any other designer.

Elie Saab cont...

I love all the rich jewel tones.

Narciso Rodriguez
Fall 2005. From Style.com

Very pretty dresses. I chose these because, again, they have that emphasis on the waist that Rania seems to prefer, like the Narciso Rodriguez dress she wore to Prince Hamzah's marriage ceremony.

beautiful coats and jackets, and I love the white printed skirt

Now for some belts. Rania wears so many of them.
These are from the YSL Rive Gauche Fall 2005 collection. Style.com

Armani's ready-to-wear Fall 2005 collection. From Style.com
Some very nice jackets and a few skirts and coats. Very elegant and business-like. Its nice to see some more length in the jackets. The short jackets aren't flattering on everyone.

thank you micas

Queen Rania has quite a few Louis Vuitton bags. Here are some from the label's Fall 2005 RTW collection. Style.com

some shoes and belts from the same collection.
Rania doesnt wear insanely tall heels all the time but I think some of these shoes are quite pretty.

elie saabs dresses are gorgeous...and i love the sleevless pink/red two-tone dress and black dress by narciso...wow!! i can see those dresses on several royal women such as rania and even mary of denmark...

How chic are these outfits from Valentino's Fall 2005 RTW collection? I think they reflect Rania's to perfection. The dresses have simple cuts but very pretty details. And I love the white pant suit with the black bows.

Now to Valentino's Fall 2005 Couture collection.
I absolutely adore the first suit. All the pretty belts and details on the waist are such a common feature in Rania's wardrobe. I think they'd suit her very well.

what is the kind of style that you would like to see on her

Some examples from the recent Spring/Summer 2006 collections. (Style.com)

Carolina Herrera

Ralph Lauren

Chado Ralph Rucci RTW S/S 2006 (Style.com)
As far as I know Rania hasn't worn Ralph Rucci. I thinks his designs are very elegant and often incredibly simple and sophisticated.

Personally speaking I think it would be nice if Rania wore some really bright colurs for evening functions.

oh there's nothing I'd like better than to see her wearing more colours.

Some examples from the Donna Karan RTW S/S 2006 collection (Style.com)
Love the bow belts. And I think Rania likes them too. She has so many belts. Some of the geometric prints aren't what she wears but since she has worn Donna Karan several times maybe one of these outfits will make their way into her wardrobe this spring. The yellow dress is daring. But she might be able to carry it off. She has worn a similar colour jacket and it looked great on her.

I really like Alice Temperley. And Reem Acra's designs remind me sometimes of Elie Saab, in terms of colour, embroidery, the workmanship in general. I believe Reem is also Lebanese, I read that she was born in Beirut. But I've often wondered if Rania has worn any of her gowns.

totally agree with U Humera, look at the flare ..... so many details and effort put to that, that we can say worth paying for ................ have a look at latest armani/valentine .. nothing!!! but mere cloth, one don't need to go to fashion school to came out with that kind of idea. YES I agree for "less is more" but loo little for money paid.

But with Saab, U can't take your eyes off especially when Rania wearing it .. PERFECTO!!

actually Jordanian dresses come in different styles/colours depending on the region.

i am having a sudden crush on traditional Arabic/Jordanian dresses. :D

so far i love Elie Saab's creations for Queen Rania, particularly this one: http://img445.imageshack.us/my.php?image=513484186cc.jpg , from kwanfan's post.

is there anywhere we can buy just the fabrics? i'd love to have clothes made with them, especially the ones with beads, embroidery and detail. i don't think they have it in Divisoria he he :D

I agree Larzen, that collection as absolutely beautiful.
I love the pretty skirts with the Edwardian look.
I'd love to find out if Queen Rania is actually wearing the whole ensemble or just the blue blouse. But unfortunately I haven't seen pictures of the entire outfit yet.
