Yes it is great to see so many family members arriving for the ballet. It is a pity that Mary's trip coincided with this date.
[-]Could this young lady be one of Marie's nieces ? She has four brothers and at least two of them have children AFAIK.[/-]

Edit : I was totally wrong ! This young lady is Countess Ingrid von Pfeil und Klein-Ellguth, Princess Benedikte's granddaughter. She is so grown up !

She sure has!

Here is a BT article explaining why Mary wasn't there and naming the persons. Nice photos as well.

It's good to see Ingrid walking next to our Marie, rather than sticking close to her mormor, Benedikte.
It suggests she is well acquainted with that part of the family as well.

Are you able to watch this outside DK?

At 21.00. - In exactly one hour after this is posted there will be a one hour coverage of the reunification gala at the Royal Theater.

But I thought it might be of interest to those who are interested in what QMII and Benedikte is wearing.
I saw a glimpse of Benedikte on the news, and usurprisingly she looked elegant!

In the meantime this channel will send a one hour docu about historical events involving the DRF. So don't get confused if you see a lot about royalty - it's not the gala. ;)

And here's a video report about yesterday's gala:

Thanks, Iceflower.

Now, that's an exhibition worth seeing! Faberge's works are magnificent!

And it's no coincidence it opens now, up to week #7, the school winter holiday.
The weather is going to be windy and rainy next week, so I predict loads of grandparents dragging... I mean inviting their grandchildren to see this exhibition.
Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte attended the opening of the exhibition "Fabergé Chamber" at the Amalienborg Museum this afternoon, February 7:

And one of the Items there is the sapphire tiara which was worn by the late Countess Anne-Dorte of Rosenbrog and sold by her daughters on auction in 2018. Wonder if it will availible for the Queen to borrow it like the Jewels ar Rosenborg Castle.
The museum replied to a question on their Facebook page about Grand Duchess Anastasia's aquamarine pendant. The question was if any of the jewels in The Kings' collection (Kongernes samling) was available to be worn by members of the Royal family at special occasions and got the reply that it had never happened. I read the reply as implying that it wasn't going to happen either.

Some great events we can look forward to in July.

"Next year it is 100 years since South Jutland / North Schleswig after the referendum on February 10, 1920 was reunited with Denmark. Preparations to mark the historic days have been going on for a long time, both nationally, regionally and locally, and although not all details are in place at this time, it is clear that Tønder is one of the cities that can look forward for royal visit.

Queen Margrethe and the Crown Prince couple will visit a total of seven municipalities in southern and southern Jutland from the 9th to the 14th of July and thus relive the journey that the Queen's grandparents, King Christian X and Queen Alexandrine, undertook at that time exactly 100 years ago."
