I like to play with colours so I would choose Princess Letizia of Spain outfit for a daughter's christening and the blue coat of Princess Mary of Denmark for a son's christening.

If the mother dresses in white or similar-colour I think the pictures turn out too bright and one can't tell where baby starts and mum ends

.

But the best piece to be used is a joyful smile and the happy look of presenting to God a baby that will grow healthy, happy and loved!

i liked very much maxima at catharina's christening. not really at alexia's. the hat obscured her face and didn't let her glow as much as with her beautiful white outfit and golden hat for catharina's. alexandra's blue gown for felix's christening was really beautiful, elegant and appropiate as well.

i liked mary's outfit very much but the hat was a definite no-no. i think it looked a lot like those coffins nurses use... letizia looked too formal in my opinion and it wasn't a really special outfit for a first daughter's christening. cristina of spain, looked lovely with the red outfit and the blue one she wore for irene's christening.

caroline of monaco looked so so elegant for andrea's christening in the black gown. the hat was lovely as well.

I think Maxima at Catherine-Amalia's Christening was absolutely stunning.

Although I'm not a fan of hers I think Marie-Chantal at the Christening of Odysseas Kimon looked lovely. The dress was slightly unconventional for a christening but it looked fabulous nonetheless.

Letizia at Leonor's Christening looked beautiful, not so much because of her clothes but she just raidated happiness. Nothing detracted from her beaming smile.

My vote goes for CP Maxima and the Infantas of Spain. I did not like what Mette-Marit wor at the christening of Sverre Magnus. There are so many colours and she prefed to a black outfit. How sad on a very special day.

1)maxima during CA's (class all the way)

3)mary's during Christian's (young fashionable royal mum look, trendy, and a bit defiant of current royal fashions

4)Letizia's during Leonor's
5)caroline's during Andrea's (black though it may have been, but she looked perfect!)

My vote for CP Maxima's outfit at Catherine-Amalia Christening, she looked really stunning.

My second choice is CP Mary, she looked gorgeous at her child Christening, though I didn't like very much her skirt.

I did not like what Leatizia wore at the Chistening of her daughter because it wasn't an outfit for a baptism.

well I did like the third one ("the sound of music" is one of my favorite movies, so that is probably why it appealed to me

) but yeah her other offerings were better. she wears those chanel suits so well.

Well it's one of my favourites too (I even went to a hilarious sing a long version in a theatre over here

) but I still think dirndl like clothes are'nt very fashionable.

(Though my mother wore them when she was younger!

We can still have a good laugh at that and let's say I have something to wear when I visit the sing a long sound of music)...

I'll have to go and search for some baptism outfits of princesse Marilene and Annette by the way... Maybe they can add something to this thread.
