The Olympic Stadium is getting ready for the closing ceremony, which will start pretty soon.
Here is a picture of the stadium; most of the spectators have apparantely already arrived.

Okay guys! 25 minutes to go. Stadium is currently singing 'always look on the bright side'.
Catherine Grainger and Ben Ainslie will carry the Union Flag into the stadium. I can confirm there outfits are 100x better than the opening ceremony outfits and they include RED! :)

We have the likes of Spice Girls, The Who, Take That including Gary despite his tragic loss last week, Jessie J, Queen, George Michael. Apparently it is the reception to the opening wedding ;)

Really, really waiting forward.
None of the British royals apart from Princess Anne will be there in official capacity. But I'm still hoping some will come just to join the fun, so to speak.

Well Catherine and Harry are supposed to attend, William's at work. I think we might see the York girls as well. I shall keep my eye out.

I'm a wonder about this ceremony tbh.

Also - we have two albums being realised of music from the games.

Isles of Wonder: Music from the Opening Ceremony of London 2012 and A Symphony of British Music: Music from the Closing Ceremony.

Isles of Wonder is already out, Symphony is out tomorrow. I have bought Isles of Wonder and it's a lovely album.

Well Emeli Sande is a lucky gal!

And has good voice.
Really loving that mini London Eye and other landmarks.

Churchill (with the cigar, of course).
Were the words from the Tempest?

Why, why French first and then English?
Prince Harry representing the queen. Kate is there too.

"I only told you to blow the bloody doors off!"
Madness performing "Our House". Still, they can't beat the Jubilee performance; Our House on top of the Buckingham Palace - legendary.

Pet Shop Boys, I'm never sure if I like them.

OK, I just realised the scenes were from "Only Fools and Horses". Thought it looked familiar. :D
The Massed Bands of the Household Division perform ‘Parklife" @ London 2012

Twas indeed Caliban again!
Thanks! It was the same quote Kenneth Branagh opened the Games with.

Pet Shop Boys.
Not my favourites but looks nice.

I do as well! I loved that introduction and he looked so good!!! ;)

One Direction, second worse band of the night after the Spice Girls.

Much as the Pet Shop Boys are dear to my heart, imagine Frankie Goes to Hollywood belting out 'Relax'. It would blow the house down. Fabulous.
Does that date me? :D

One Direction with their "What Makes you Beautiful".
My neighbour drives me mad listening to this song about 1,000 times a day.

I love the rhythm, but am a bit lost.
Is there any significance to this?

That would be... Ooh, that would be epic! :D

Spelbound!
I LOVE them back from BGT!

Yes. We're going through a 'London' day, waking up, going to work, rush hour, waiting in traffic etc.

Ah, thanks. I got a bit culturally lost. :)
Ray Davies performing "Waterloo Sunset".

And now Sunset ;) up next is the parade :)

I thought it was just me who hates the name "Harry".

I'm a loser too.

A bit off topic, but apparantely President Obama has called the Prime Minister to congratulate the UK on a brilliant Olympics, praising the organisation of the Games and Team GB medals.

Back on topic, how touching are these scenes?! :)

The flag bearers are coming.
Caught a glimpse of Armenian flag (red, blue and orange).

Jeez, she's impressive! Beautiful song.
And they appear to have finally got the sound balance right.

It's Read All About It by Professor Green ft Emeli :)

I'm unconvinced by the entrance, I like it but /:

Those outfits...Britney Spears "Oops I Did It Again" anyone?

Athletes from all nations coming through the crowds.
Team GB athletes are in danger of getting blind from the many flashes.

Totally! Although Britney looked nicer.

The stadium looks wonderful, but I haven't enjoyed things so far. What on earth were The Pet shop Boys dressed in? Bring bak the athletics.

In case anyone is wondering, the Elbow perform ‘One Day Like This’ and ‘Open Arms’.

My first thoughts immediately. I fail to see what's British about that. :ROFLMAO: Loving the ceremony so far!

The diamond outline of the union flag ;)

I WISH people would call Harry, Henry! It is his name after all and so many people on twitter are like who's Prince Henry!
