Baron Bettino Ricasoli Firidolfi has died on 17 may 2009, aged 87. He was a famous italian wine producer (Chianti wine), and descendant of Italian President of the Council of Ministers Baron Bettino Ricasoli.
I guess he was the husband of Donna Laura of the Princes Ruffo di Calabria (1921-1972), elder sister of Queen Paola of the Belgians, and the godfather of Prince Laurent of Belgium; since I have not found any confirmation of these facts, can someone confirm it?

Yes, and they had together 4 children: Andrea (died in 1982), Luisa, Maria Teresa and Giovanni Francesco.
In the obituary I have read ( Ofisa Onoranze Funebri - Firenze,Toscana | Ricasoli Firidolfi Bettino 17 Maggio 2009) is written that he left Costanza, Luisa, Maria Teresa and Francesco; two names (meybe three) coincide, Luisa, Maria Teresa and maybe Francesco, but about the fourth one, Costanza, I don't know who is she...

The late Baron Bettino Ricasoli Firidolfi was the husband of Laura Ruffo di Calabria, with whom he had four children: Andrea (died in 1982), Maria Teresa, Luisa and Francesco. After the death of Laura, he married secondly to Costanza Romanelli, a descendant of italian sculptor Raffaello Romanelli (author of a monument to King Carol I of Romania in Pelesch and of a monument to Tsar Alexander II)

Hey, I am here.
Mind your language now.
I am a good friend of princess Maria Isabella di Savoia-Genova.
LOL, honestly, I am her friend by telephone, we started talking 7 years ago but we´ve never met. She´s just returned from Europe where she´s gone for a wedding of a princess´ Massimo daughter. It seems it was FANTASTIC, in the Massimo´s castle, close to Firenze. The duke of Aosta was there. Princess Maria Isabella has a very good relationship with him and his children

In 7 years I´ve known Princess Maria Isabella she never mentionned her husband. And she travels everywhere all by herself.
She met Princess Maria Gabriella in Genève last week and Princess Maria Gabriella was very critical on her nephew taking part in politics.
The italian wedding was very nice and then she went to Genève and from there she went to a wedding in Lisbon where she met the Duke of Braganza.
I had said earlier the Duke of Aosta was present at the "Massimo" wedding but I have to correct myself and he was not there (although he had been invited) but they talked on the telephone.
Her son will send me pictures of the family reunited for last Christmas and I will post them here, ok?
Amedea, I see you read Paul Theroff´s message about the "Massimo" wedding. Princess Maria Isabella told me all the details by telephone but I could not grasp the groom´s first name as she was speaking to fast so I communicated Theroff without it....but I will ask her again, right?

I know she married Alberto Frioli, created Count of Rezzano by King Umberto II, in 1971, and they had three or four children; but I don't know anything about their life after the wedding...

Well, in the last years she has been critical on everything her nephew has done...but I can understand her...If a prince claims some right to a Throne, as EF does, I think he cannot take part in politic, since his possible role as Prince or Monarch has to be over the politic, not into it. The same late King didn't want the creation of a monarchist party in Italy, because He believed that the Monarchy is not a party, and has to be impartial: and the politic needs to be partial.

so now you know Princess Maria Gabriella is separeted or divorced from her "ex" husband.
You must know at least a thing about her. That she took very care to transfer the mortal remains of her parents from São Paulo to Superga and there were PLENTY of pictures at the time. I think it was less than 3 years ago. Have you seen these pictures??
And I may add another thing: SHE IS REALLY VERY NICE AND IS ALWAYS HAPPY AND CONTENT!!

Maybe you mean Princess Maria Isabella? However, also Maria Gabriella is divorced from her ex husband, Robert Zellinger de Balkany.
I knew something about the transfer of the remains of the late Dukes of Genova to Superga, it was in 2006, but I didn't see pictures...maybe only some, I guess in the website of Prince Amedeo; but I'm not totally sure.
Unfortunately, here in Italy we know only a little about our Royal Family, and only about its more "famous" members (Vittorio Emanuele and Emanuele FIliberto); and often these news are only gossip...

yes, sorry, I meant Princess Maria Isabella!
I will try and post here many pictures of the ceremony at Superga another day.
The name of the groom is DIEGO (the bride´s Elena as you know). There was a party for more than 300 guests in Florence 2 weeks before the wedding. The religious ceremony took place at an ancient fortress owned by the Massimos between Florence and Siena. This fortress is called Villa la Sulvera and it was turned into a 5 stars hotel by the Massimos. There were only 78 guests for the religious ceremony (the maximum capacity of the fortress/hotel)
Regarding what you say about the italian midia talking so little about the Savoias I was lucky to be in Italy when Queen Maria José died and at that time the midia TALKED A LOT. And I keep all the articles with much care....

Well, I was only 10 at the time, I remember that medias talked about her, but...this was an occasion in which it was unthinkable not to talk about...Moreover medias had to compensate the lack of informations when King Umberto died; his funeral was not shown by any television, except for some part the following day. And I can't remember if the one of Queen Maria Jose was shown...

Duke of Addis Abeba/Badoglio Family
Does anyone have any photos of the 3rd Duke of Addis Abeba, Flavio Badoglio. I read something interesting that his mother was the daughter of the last Emperor of Vietnam. He was born in 1973.

Sorry am a bit late with this, Susanna Agnelli was also a friend of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and Prince Bernard who had a vacation home at Porto Ercole where Susanna Agenelli was mayor.
