Thank you for posting love_cc!

Charles points the way again!
First with his invitation of the soldiers to Birkhall to honour the troops and to demonstrate against their treatment.
Second with his constantly work for the environment.

Well done Charles !

Prince Charles to work with Norway to save forests

Thu Dec 27, 2007 11:38am GMT

OSLO (Reuters) - Prince Charles has offered to team up with Norway in projects to save forests around the world, Norwegian officials said on Thursday.

The Prince of Wales's offer to Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg followed Norway's announcement earlier this month that it aimed to provide about 3 billion crowns (273 million pounds) per year to prevent deforestation in developing countries.

Charles, who has said saving the world's rainforests is key to combating global warming, sent a letter to Stoltenberg suggesting that his Rainforests Project send representatives to Norway to discuss ways to cooperate, a spokesman at the prime minister's office said.

Britain's Prince Charles, called on Thursday for a global fund to preserve tropical rainforests from destruction.
"In the simplest of terms, we have to find a way to make the forests worth more alive than dead," the heir to the British throne told the European Parliament in an address.

The Green Prince
February 18

"Huge sums" of money, Prince Charles told the European Parliament Thursday, are required to keep the developing world from killing off the rainforests and exacerbating global warming. The heir to the British throne laid out what amounts to a simple (and familiar) formula: Politicians will set some rules and the rest of us will foot the bill.

The Prince of Wales's Rainforests Project

True to Prince Charles's reputation as an environmentalist, he's been getting involved in the ongoing debate about saving the world's remaining rainforests by trying to make them more commercially viable as standing forests than as piles of logs.

He has a website on the topic which is well worth a look.
