True, the closing ceremony was great. Harry and Meghan have contributed to a successful venture.
Well done to all the competitors and their family and friends.
I've loved watching the coverage of events and the personal stories.
I hope support for The Invictus Games continues for years because it seems purposeful.
Loved Harry's speech and Aloe Blacc!!

Am enjoying the closing ceremony. Pleased to see to athletes from Jordan up dancing to Men at Work song.
Also a wonderful standing ovation for the Volunteers when the NSW Premier thanked them in her speech.
They have a great crowd there tonight.

I shed a few tears during the Closing Ceremony. When Aloe Blac played Avicci, I was done.
Well done Sydney for an amazing games.
Well done HRH The Duke of Sussex.
Well done HRH The Duchess of Sussex.
Well done to all the athletes and their families.
Well done to all of the volunteers.
Can't wait for 2020 in the Hague, and I will be there with bells on. Have to start planning NOW.

And the countdown begins to Invictus Games 2020 in the Hague.
It still amazes me that a small germ of an idea by one person when nurtured and watered and cared for by people drawn into the germ of an idea grows large enough to bear fruit and the seeds of that fruit spreads further and further with each season that passes. So have the Invictus Games grown and I sincerely believe that all of us who have watched the wonderful and hospitable job that Australia has done in hosting these games, have come away from it with a renewed sense of appreciation that we, as humans, have an unquenchable spirit that can overcome any challenges our lives throw at us.
We look to our wounded athletes that have set examples for us not only in thanks for their service but also as heroes that lead the way to showing us that we can do *anything* if we set our minds to it.
Perhaps someday there will be no more Invictus Games. I hope so with the only reason being that there are no more Invictus Games because there are no more hurt, maimed, wounded and sick warriors because of combat.

I thought it was all wonderful. An inspiring and heartwarming closing ceremony to the Invictus Games in Sydney. The athletes were just terrific, as were the speeches and the artists who performed. Felt quite teary but elated too.

Just read their speeches. Both were inspiring. I love that they use a little bit personal experience in their speeches.

There is a video on Twitter that showed her speech and the speech prompter. It seems that she memorized it as she was going ahead of the prompt.

Great closing ceremony. I enjoyed it. So proud and impressed with both Harry and Meghan but especially Meghan this year. Wonderful speech by her and no sign of nerves, despite the fact that this was her first time speaking to an audience of that size. She nailed it.

Reminded of the Invictus games here in Toronto; a shout out to the volunteers because of the essential work they do in streamlining large groups of people into a well organized and well directed mob! Bravo Sydney

Hope the IG got some much needed funds from this. It's a pity Meghan couldn't go. Still, Harry looks as if he enjoyed himself, and is giving hugs as usual!

Why couldn’t Meghan go?

I imagine that she could have gone if she had wanted to but actually, this event, for Harry was "work". Harry isn't going to have Meghan along on every event he does and vice versa once Meghan starts doing solo engagements.
BTW: I'd love to see "Bat Out Of Hell" myself. I stood on stage once next to Meat Loaf when he was in the Detroit production of "Hair" and that man has such a powerful voice. I love his tunes.
