What are the "Banns of Marriage" and "Lynsing"? This is my first time with a Royal European wedding and I'm not familiar with those terms. I apologize if that's been addressed, I just didn't see it. Thanks!

From wikipedia:
Banns of marriage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In short: "marriage banns [...] are the public announcement in a Christian parish church of an impending marriage between two specified persons. It is commonly associated with the Church of England and with other denominations whose traditions are similar; the Roman Catholic Church abolished the requirement in 1983 .
The purpose of banns is to enable anyone to raise any canonical or civil legal impediment to the marriage, so as to prevent marriages that are invalid. Impediments vary between legal jurisdictions, but would normally include a pre-existing marriage that has been neither dissolved nor annulled, a vow of celibacy, lack of consent, or the couple's being related within the prohibited degrees of kinship".

Sofia Hellqvist is invited to the church service of the banns publishing today, and to the reception, tells Bertil Ternert to Expressen. He doesn't know if Sofia will sit with Carl Philip. Princess Christina, her husband and sons are invited, and Patrick Sommerlath with his wife. The events are much smaller than at the wedding of Victoria and Daniel. Among the invited are the prime minister and the speaker of the Parliament, and the governors from Stockholm county and Gävleborg county. About 100 people are invited to the reception at 14.00.
At this article of Expressen is also a list of Madeleine's friends who are invited today.

To Aftonbladet Bertil Ternert told earlier this week that they don't know who of Chris' family will attend today, "we must not have a RSVP at the invitations". They will see today who attends. After the church service is a private lunch for the family and some invited guests and then the reception.

Shiny seems to be the theme of the event. The colour on Madeleines dress is nice but it's too tacky for such an event for me. Real shame.

When I saw that Pär Engsheden was invited to the church, I thought that Madeleine's dress was his design, and Bertil Ternert from the court confirms it.
People and Aftonbladet are speculating because of Madeleine's photos, is she pregnant. Ternert said that he doesn't want to comment such rumours.
Royal expert Jenny Alexandersson said that the light makes sometimes tricks, and someone may look pregnant in some photos even though she isn't.

Expressen's royal reporter Johan T Lindwall tells that Madeleine and Chris have a secret list for wedding presents at the internet. They want things from NK and Svenskt Tenn. And also a lamp from Josef Frank and porcelain from Mateus.
Expressen's reporter Johanna Schreiber writes that princess Estelle is at the Palace with her nanny. She wasn't at the church, but she will be at the reception.

Victoria is by far the best dressed. What a gorgeous dress she chose !
I am disappointed about Madeleine's dress... I was expecting something a bit more classy. Victoria looked superb at her bans...
Wonder what Chris' mum was thinking. What is that exactly ?

I don't like the shiny material of Madeleine's dress, and it does nothing for her figure (hence the pregnancy rumours perhaps. She doesn't look like the radiant bride to be on the photos that I have seen, and most other royals also look as if they are attending a funeral. The queen looks elegant as usual and I have to admit that Sofia looked nice today too, and she actually smiled. Mrs. O'Neill was not too succesful, the dress is to 'young' for her and the hat just doesn't work. Were Chris' sisters also there?
Edit: the royals & esp. Madeleine seem much more relaxed and cheerful in the pictures after the ceremony. What did the princess & Chris receive from the prime minister?
