Are there any websites like Royal Engagements Diary of The Spanish Royals?

You could try www.casareal.es.. They list every engagement they had with photo's. But not the engagements in advance so you can see where they will be..:( :)

The Princes rested at Princess Letizia's Grandparents' home in Asturias.

From Las Provincias:

Don Felipe and Doña Letizia will travel to Valencia next Thursday, in order to inaugurate the Superior Center of High Technology for Biomedical investigation. After the act, they will go to the city council, to enjoy the mascletà (pyrotechnic show) of Ricardo Caballer.

The Princes were invited last year and even confirmed their attendance to Las Fallas, but with the attacks of 11-M, they suspended the visit to Valencia. The Valencians will now enjoy their presence, as no member of the Royal Family has attended Las Fallas for years.

Every year, the City council sends an official invitation to the Royal House, and this year the Princes will honour them with their presence at Las Fallas 2005.

After the mascletà, the Princes will attend the reception that always takes place at the municipal headquarters.

Here is a couple of photo from previous editions of these popular festivities:

Thanks for the article and pictures Elsa! It seems like they will have a good time. It seems like it will be a more relaxed atmosphere which they seem to like.

During the course of the "mascletà", they will take a bath of multitudes. Yet, the visit is marked by strict security measures. In fact, throughout the day, the access to the City Council of Valencia will not be allowed and the media will be placed in a tribune specifically constructed for the effect.

Next week, the Princes shall travel to Japan, in order to attend the universal fair of Aichi.

I noticed that Felipe took the bandage off his right hand! :)

Thanks for the info Elsa. It would have been noticeable to me surely only later ;)
The pictures are very nice. Great to see them laughing and enjoying the festival.

From Elmundo:

The Princes of Asturias attended, for the first time as a married couple, and from the balcony of the City Hall, the mascletá shot, by the pyrotechnics Ricardo Caballer; an authentic "earthquake" that congregated thousands of people at the main square of Valencia, on the second "great day" of Las Fallas' celebrations. Before, Letizia Ortiz greeted the falleras Gueguel Massmanian and Cristina Sanchez.

Love her suit, and shoes!

And it's new (I think)!

What really caught my eye was the the outfits and jewellery of the falleras: incredibly beautiful or ornate.

From Fallas.com:

All the glances were fixed on the balcony of the City Hall of Valencia. The Mascletà of Ricardo Caballer had exceptional assistants: T.R.H. the Princes of Asturias. The public waited with maximum interest for the arrival of Don Felipe and Doña Letizia to the municipal balcony, until they appeared, at 1:50 p.m., accompanied by the President of the Generalitat Francisco Campos, the Mayor of Valencia, Rita Barberá, the President of the Central Fallero Council, Felix Crespo, and the Falleras of Valencia. The courts of honour and some councilmen were also there.

Without any doubt, it was the most awaited moment of the day. Hundreds of photographers and T.V. cameras pointed to the building, in order to catch the most awaited snapshot, while the public shouted their names on the street, to catch a greeting. Minutes before the beginning of the mascletà, the Mayor showed them the general aspect of the square, as well as the municipal monument, while they relaxingly assented and continued waving to the thousands of Valencians, who thanked their visit to Las Fallas 2005.

Later, Gueguel Massmanian ordered the beginning of the mascletà, and a spectacle of powder, colour, light and sound flooded the most requested square of Valencia. The mascletà was amazing and did not leave the smallest small doubt on the magnificent work of the pyrotechnics of Godella. At the end of it, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia said goodbye to the ample public and they entered the consistorial building, accompanied by the retinue. But the public was asking for more, and after a few moments of uncertainty, the Princes of Asturias returned to the balcony, together with Ricardo Caballer, to greet the Valencians, who massively applauded the presence of the heirs to the Spanish Throne.
