Did you ever consider that maybe Felipe likes to hold his wife's hand? Funny how it's Letizia who is constantly labelled and mocked 24/7.

I love the way Felipe and Letizia act in public with each other! they are so in love and it's just great to see their love shining when they are together! this is true love!
I don't care about the protocol and I guess the protocol doesn't care either!lol

Seems that if the protocol was that important Felipe would follow it . He seems to love his wife and they like being together. I love the fact that they hold hands it shows they love and care about each other.

If they hold hands it's ridiculous and against protocol, and they if they don't there's a problem between them, they don't love each other anymore.. and blaaah blaah so.. keep holding hands!
Great pics, they are a stunning couple.

Can´t agree more with you, Mari!
I say it too: keep holding hands, please! I love to see them doing it

Why didnt Felipe & Letizia attened this event?
I also noticed in previoues events such as this they do not attened, is there a reason for that?
Queen Sofia looke really nice but pitty she wore black, blended in with all the men in suits. The 1st lday stood out in her colored outfit.

Good thing Letizia put some "butterfly pin" to keep her sash in place rather than just safety pins. Her color reminds me of Christmas (green and red) although her overall appearance is nice.

She did wear a saftey pin but it was worn on her shoulder which was covered most of the time with her hair - seen here
I quit eliked Sofias suit from the farewell ceremony, the pink under top gives a nice contrast with the purple. The 1st lady also looks nice in the black and red outfit.

"Just safety pin" is encrusted with diamonds.
