Dear acdc1, I have some difficulties to see your pic. ( I don't know why, but it's very frequent with TinyPic )
I'm very found of Victoria Frederica, but I find that now in public she has to avoid to have her socks in her hand.

At least in public, because she is becoming a sympathetic young girl, elegant ( her socks is always matching up with the color of her dress ) and affective as a great sister with her little cousin Leonor
It was funny because during this photosession the infanta Elena was hidding the " delictual object " in her hand until that Victoria Frederica decide with her brother to pick up Leonor to go to prom! So sympathetic!

I have the feeling, but may be I'm wrong, that the Princess of Asturias has a good politic with the pacifier.
For Leonor, it's clear that she used it as still as it was useful, but since Leonor is one year old, no pic of the Little Infanta with a pacifier. It dosen't mean that she dosen't used in private, but when you see Leonor you can Think that the time of the pacifier is over.
For little Sofia, I think that it will be the same strategy, ok during the time when it's very necessary, but as soon as possible the Princess of Asturias will try to avoid the use of the pacifier, that she is doing half for the official pics.

That is so funny because I thought it was like a kleenex because she had a cold or something. I forgot all about the sock, isn't this a different one from the other picture I saw her with it? I thought the other one was red. Funny how kids get attached to things.

Nació el hijo de los Príncipes de Asturias
In this picture, you can sort of see Miguel with a pacifier. And sorry I can't tell you where it's from, I only know a little Spanish, so I can't read the top.
I thought that Victoria would be done with her socks by now, it's fine if she has it in private, but it looks a little odd when she has it at a photoshoot and she's how old now? Seven or eight? Kids in the SRF seem to hold on to habits a while, Victoria with the sock, Irene and I think Miguel had pacifiers for a while, Irene is two and still has one. Well, Ingrid of Norway still has her white bear for comfort and she's nearing four. And some of us regular people (me included) have special stuffed animals. I slept with one until I was twelve!
Does Leonor suck her thumb sometimes? In a few pictures it looks as if she does. There's nothing wrong with it, she's still very little.

hey acdc1!
in that pic, Miguel was a little over 2 years old, it was the summer of 2004
Pacifiers can be used till the age of 3, after that, it's not good for the development of kids
Leo sucks her thumb, just like every other kid has done in the story of time
Victoria is really a bit old for "transicional objects" such as her sock, those are usually present when the kid is starting school or so, to act as a security blanket for them (around the age of 4-5, they leave that one), and she's almost 7, so I guess it's time to correct that

I think I've seen Irene in both of these Suavinex pacifiers.

They're on page 10, you might need Adobe to see it.

The princess of Asturias told me the best way to quit the thumb is the pacifier

and she explained to me that as Leonor is very "coquette" she didn't like that and she quited immediatly!!! ( or quiet )
Fantastic ! We are very proud of our Infantita International in her fight against the thumb and the pacifier...

Prince Christian used a pacifier, but I've only seen pictures of him with it two times. Both pics are from Danish Royal Watchers.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...veoslo59jz.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...07/4298147.jpg This one was new to me. It's from back in February, around Mary's birthday, so Christian was about 13 or 14 months old at that time. I wonder if he still uses one. BTW, what kind of stroller or carriage is he riding in?
This is of Irene, who looks to be quite sleepy! It seems to be one of her favorites. Oringinally from the Royal Family of Spain Current Events XVII thread.

Not really a baby, but, from littleroyals, Princess Stephanie's daughter Camille. Judging from the picture, I'd say she's 4-5 years old.
