Jordan's Prince Ali calls for unity in Asian football after tough FIFA election
DOHA, Qatar — After a bitter election battle, the newest FIFA vice-president Prince Ali Bin al-Hussein of Jordan says it is time to put aside rivalries and work to unite Asian football.
The 35-year-old Prince Ali last week beat incumbent Chung Mong-joon of South Korea to become the youngest member on FIFA's ruling executive committee. It was a surprising result since Chung had the backing of Asian Football Confederation President Mohamed bin Hammam.

New FIFA vice-president promises to find solution to Iran dress row
June 7 - New FIFA vice-president Prince Ali of Jordan promised today that he will try to find a solution to the row which has seen the chances of Iran's women's Olympic football team competing at London 2012 because of their refusal to stop wearing their Islamic headscarf.

These turbans (or whatever you call this special headgear that was created for Iranian women´s football team) seem to be a good compromise for everybody,I hope they will be able to compete and play matches like every other female football team in the world :)
 
Prince Ali stresses need to reassess AFC's Vision Asia program
Amman, Nov. 22 (Petra)-- HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, FIFA Vice President representing Asia, joined today HRH Prince Abdullah Ahmad Shah, Chairman of the Vision Asia Committee, in the second committee meeting this year. Prince Ali, who serves as Deputy Chair of Vision Asia, stressed to all members that it is crucial to reassess the Vision Asia program in order to ensure that all member associations are benefiting and to avoid duplication of efforts at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
 
I guess that Prince Ali, as a vice-president of FIFA for Asia, will be in Japan these days for the FIFA Club World Cup...
 
Prince Ali presents case for headscarf in football at FIFA ExCo meeting

TOKYO - During the FIFA Executive Committee meeting in Tokyo, FIFA Vice President representing Asia, HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein presented the case for a review of the interpretation of the Laws of the Game regarding the wearing of a safe, velcro-opening headscarf (by players and officials) which covers the neck; and to seek “A favorable reconsideration of the issue by International Football Association Board (IFAB) at the earliest opportunity.”
