It seems that the Duke of Västergötland has at this stage only 2 Royal Orders :
Knight of the Royal Order of the Seraphim
Knight Commander of the Royal Order of the Polar Star

There hasn't been any royal state visits in Sweden during this time Daniel has been a member of the royal family.
Daniel has also:
Chile: Grand Cross of the Order of Bernardo O'Higgins
Estonia: Grand Cross of the Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana
Finland: Grand Cross of the Order of the White Rose of Finland
Iceland: Grand Cross of the Order of the Falcon
Italy: Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic
Tunisia: Grand Officer of the Order of Merit

I wish they include some more explanations to explain the symbol of the coat of arms.

As the 2 since 1975 dormant swedish Royal Orders, The Order of the Sword and The Order of Vasa, is expected to be revived by the parliament next year, i expect that all the swedish royals (except the King who already have them) will be the first to recive them.

Why will they be revived? Are they looking for ways to create more diversity in orders that can be rewarded, so they are better able to distinguidh the really important people with those they consider less important; or will they have totally different target groups?

Interesting that Crown Princess Victoria has no any Dutch Order despite the many encounters between the two Houses. Apparently there never was an opportunity in all those years to exchange Orders.

The renewal of the honours system was one of the responsibilities of the same parliamentary investigation which resulted in the removal of five of the King's grandchildren from the Royal House and the forthcoming changes to the annual financial reports of the Royal House. The commission's work commenced in 2018.
The reports produced by the commission in 2021 explain the historical developments in the orders system and the rationale for the planned reforms. Although they are in Swedish, the reports include detailed summaries written in English.
https://www.regeringen.se/rattsliga-...09/sou-202174/
For additional information in English, one can read LadyFinn's and JR76's many posts about the parliamentary investigation from 2018-2022, mainly in the thread Costs and Finances of the Swedish Royal Family. The orders reform has also been discussed in Swedish Royal Orders & Medals.

The Crown Princess was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Isabella the Catholic on the 16th of November 2021 during the Spanish state visit.
The Duke of Västergötland was awarded the Spanish Order of Civil Merit also on the 16th of November 2021 .

Would that not have been possible when the dutch royal Couple made their Introductions Visit after their accession. But then i guess there will be a dutch State Visit to Sweden coming up in the not to ditstant future.
Wasn't on the same occasion one given to the then Princess of Asturias?

I don't think the Princess of Asturias has any foreign royal orders as she is still a minor - and was never involved in official visits or state visits IIRC.

The Order of St. Olav can now be added to Daniel's foreign orders, as he was seen wearing it at the Gala Dinner for Princess Ingrid Alexandra's 18th birthday.
