The Countess of Wessex has started a visit to New York today, March 14, and first visited the Queen Elizabeth II Garden on Commonwealth Day as well as the St George's Society of New York.

She will speak at the "Upholding Women's Rights in Afghanistan" event, hosted by the Group of Friends of Women in Afghanistan, UN Women, and the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security.

Today, March 17, on his second day in Kenya, the Earl of Wessex met President Uhuru Kenyatta at the State House in Nairobi.

The more I see of Prince Edward, the more I am admiring him and the work that he does. Very low keyed and congenial. JMHO

To be fair she always did a fair bit of work but did not always receive the press coverage that she deserved. Maybe she didn't produce the headlines the media like.

Today, March 24, the Earl of Wessex as President of the Sport and Recreation Alliance attended the Community Sport and Recreation Awards at Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry.

As Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation he visited Coventry Judo Club:
