If they came, they did so very quietly. The Louisville newspaper did not mention them nor did any of the Louisville TV stations, There was a rumor that the Maktoum family tried to buy into one of the Derby horses and failed. After the race, they were probably just as glad not to own him. He finished up the track.

These photos are a few years old. Note that the first two are with Sheikh Zayed. The last one is with Sheikh Ahmed explaining the Dubai airport expansion plans to Sheikh Mohammed when he was still CP. So all are at least a few years old.
