The queen has used 5 tiaras for the nobel December 10th

Connaught Diamond Tiara 1977 och 2003
Nine Prag Tiara 1976, 1979, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1989, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2007
Leuchtenberg Tiara 1978, 1981, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1990, 1991, 1993, 2001, 2004 and 2006
Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara 1986
Empress Josephine's Cameo Tiara 1992, 1996, 1998 and 2005

When she use the Empress Josephine's Cameo Tiara i think she always used the necklace of Cameo

I also think the same goes with Leuchtenberg Tiara she has used the Leuchtenberg necklace those times

The sapphire, pearl and diamond necklace. The gift to the late Queen Victoria of Sweden then Crown Princess has only been worn once by silvia at the nobel

Josephine-what a wonderful job you've done, assembling all these wonderful photos for us to enjoy! Thank you so much; Queen Silvia is always such a visual delight.
My personal favorite is the Napoleonic Amethyst parue! I love the stone and there are so few examples of it in the various royal families.
What tiaras does Silvia have that she has not worn to the Nobels?

The tiaras Queen Silvia has never worn to the Nobel Awards Ceremony:
- The Braganca diamond tiara
- The Edward VII ruby tiara
- The Napoleonic cut steel tiara
Also, she never chose the two tiaras now worn by Princess Madeleine and Crown Princess Victoria, the modern diamond fringe and the Baden fringe tiaras.

I have to say that I completely adore that Edward VII ruby tiara. It's different!
I believe that Victoria wore the steel tiara to a Nobel, didn't she?

Now that queen Siulvia has started to wear the Edward VII ruby tiara on a regular basis, I believe it's very possible that it will be seen at the Nobel ceremony one day.
CP Victoria wore the cut steel tiara to the Nobel once, in 2004 - here's a pic:
IBL Bildbyrå | 0435 44 07 65
Princess Lilian also wore the cut steel at the Nobel in earlier years.
The one tiara exclusively worn by the Queen which I doubt to ever appear on this occasion is the Braganca - the Nobel day starting in the afternoon and continuing with a reception and the dinner is a very long one, and it must become uncomfortable at one point to wear such an extremely heavy piece all through the day.

It's a demi parure (necklace, earrings, large corsage brooch and brooch) of diamonds and precious Brazilian pink topaz.
The origin of the design is Russian as the set was commissioned by Czar Paul I from a St. Petersburg jeweler around 1804. It later found its way into the Bernadotte collection through Queen Victoria, née of Baden.

They have past through some very regal jewellery boxes:
Paul--> Maria Pavlovna, Grand Duchess of S-W-E--> Auguste of S-W-E, Empress of Germany--> Luise of Prussia, Grand Duchess of Baden--> Viktoria of Baden, Queen of Sweden--> Bernadotte foundation!

Wow! Thanks for your infos!
I was thinking of pink sapphires. I never knew about the Brazillian stone.:)
And what a history this parue has! :)

The Leuchtenberg Tiara is the most beautiful I have ever seen. I love it. It is just gorgeous.

I'd say this brooch looks like a historic piece, probably Edwardian - maybe originally a corsage brooch as it's also quite large. It seems to feature diamonds and very pale pink stones which do not look like topaz to me.
Strangely enough, Queen Silvia has only started to wear it around a couple of years ago, so it has either remained in the vaults for a long time or it was a recent gift. I think the latter is more probable as I don't remember the brooch on any earlier Bernadotte Queen.
Btw, sush1n3, I absolutely agree with you - the Leuchtenberg sapphires might be the most beautiful parure of all Royal collections.

how many emerald neckleces does silvia have
i think i have seen a new one, its emerald i think and a modern necklace.

Apart from the grand Bernadotte emerald necklace, Queen Silvia has no less than four complete modern emerald and diamond sets, including necklaces with matching earrings and sometimes bracelet and brooch as well.
As they’re privately owned, I figure emeralds might be her favorite colored stone. There's nothing known about the provenance of either one - maybe gifts from the King, maybe gifts from state visits.
The latest of these suites appeared for the first & so far only time in February this year and was worn to a gala in Las Vegas. It's very modern in design with a touch of 1930’s jewelry to it - quite a contrast to her other more ornate jewelry but I still like it, apart from the earrings which are just too large for my taste. that is the one i thoght of..
but i do not like it at all

I have to say that the Connaught-tiara is my favoutite. Queen Silvia wore it at the pre-wedding event on 18th June 1976 and I remember that princess Christina ( the youngest sister of the King) wore it on her wedding-day.

ANP Beeldbank
not the best picture, but I haven't found any other.

Thanks for the photos.
I have never seen the jewelry before. Look to me like they have more middle eastern design in them. I would assume they came from a royal middle eastern family (Saudi?) when the King and Queen visited them.
I like them better than some more ostentatious pieces Silvia usually wears.

Regarding the new emerald suite, I also like it - a simple yet very effective glittering design, reminiscent of late 1920s jewelry style.
The pictures are from the only occasion the set has been worn so far, earlier this year.
If it should be an Arab gift, it's certainly one of their better choices in jewelry. It's an open question though - Queen Silvia actually has far more modern pieces than visits I can count to Eastern monarchies!
The Connaught tiara is certainly one of the most beautiful of all Royal tiaras.
Queen Silvia wearing it at the Nobel ceremony in 1979, with the Russian pink topaz demi-parure:

The Connaught tiara is convertible to a necklace, though Queen Silvia has worn it this way only once.
Its five diamond drops are detachable and can be worn as pendants to form another necklace, which Princess Madeleine frequently does.

she wore the Connaught tiara with the pink topaze necklace
i think it looked good with the dress....

At the Luxembourg State Visit this years she wore a necklace on april 16th
i cant find a photo of the event.
i would like to know what necklace she wore

You mean the return dinner of the Luxemburg state visit?
Queen Silvia wore the oldest of her four modern sets of emeralds and diamonds, the one she has had since the mid-1980s.
There aren't many clear pics of the occasion online, but here's the link to one:

IBL Bildbyrå | 0435 44 07 65

Yes that dinner. But i had an ide that it was a new necklace....
in my mind the necklace was larger

It is indisputable that Silvia has a very substantial jewelry collection--the royal jewels and her own personal collection as well. I admit, I don't really like that emerald set with the Saudi look--especially with the Yuki red gown--not a good combination.

Indeed, the Yuki gown and the newest emerald set in Las Vegas early this year were a bad combination - color-wise. But style-wise, it would actually have looked great if the same gown was in emerald green, IMHO...
I do like this set (matching necklace, earrings, bracelet) as it might have a very bold design, but there's also an updated Art deco feeling to it. I'd love to see it worn again with a different overall look.
By the way, it's not clear at all whether this is a 'Saudi' set or not... there is no info about its origin, or do you know more here?

Let’s see if this is something I with the help from you all can figure out
When was the first time she wore different jewellery

The first tiara she wore was the Connaught tiara at the pre wedding event june 1976
at the wedding she wore the Cameo Tiara june 1976
The first official photo was of her with the Braganza tiara 1976
The nineprag tiara was first seen at the Nobel 1976
The ruby necklace was worn by Silvia for the first time at the Danish wedding 1995

Braganza tiara was for the first time in Silvia’s lifetime worn outside of Sweden 2007 in Denmark

The nine prong tiara (like the Leuchtenberg sapphires) was first worn during the state visit to the Netherlands in November 1976.
The ruby tiara was worn for the first time as a tiara at the '95 Danish wedding, but Queen Silvia before wore it as a necklace (for the only time) in 1987, during Queen Beatrix' state visit to Sweden.
