The free schools are prohibited from charging additional fees than the community grant that the pupil brings with him/her. As Xenobia writes many of these schools have different profiles and theyre not allowed to discriminate against of anyone even if the for example have a specifik religious profile. The most popular of these schools have year long quees. My brother for instance have already put his two children aged 3 and 6 up for a popular grade 4-9 school in the town where they live.
Regarding the community sum all I know about it is that its decided by the different communitys but Im sure theres a minimum. The communitys dont decide if their sum is to go to a public school or a free school that sum is entirely up to the public to handle themselves. If there is a big market for free schools therell be more of those in a community.

The concept of the free schools sounds similar to some systems I know in Germany and the Netherlands. As long as the schools don't charge fees I wouldnt't see them as typical "private schools" that (can only) attract a very distinct group of students/parents. While there can and will always be good and important reasons to choose a certain school for a certain child, that is the main issue with (fee paying) private schools for me - that their students typically only meet children who are similar to them in many or at least some important aspects. For me school should ideally be the place where you meet all kind of people and learn how to deal with all (or most:p) of them. (Obviously you also have private schools that have very diverse classes and there are state schools that attract only very specific students for some reasons, but I'm speaking about the "typical" private vs. the "typcial" state school.)
I'm curious which school Victoria and Daniel will choose for Estelle in the end and if and how they will explain their choice. But whatever they decide, I am sure they will choose the best school for Estelle and her interests and skills.

Just look at this photo. It's absolutely unique! I can't take my eyes away from the photo from Haga Palace, when William and Kate were guests at afternoon tea!
I'm almost drown in the photo, every little detail...
But mostly my eyes are on the kids, little Prince Oscar and Estelle. Two small well-behaved children. What a pride for their parents! There are plenty of days when the kids are wild at Haga, just like in all other families. But how does Victoria succeed in keeping such order on them on such occasions?
Did Estelle got a day off from preschool, because there were so fine guests at home?
It may seem strange that a little girl's future is already so determined. Or?
I think this is a very conscious move from Victoria and Daniel. Their daughter will once become our queen. Then, when Estelle may be 50 or 60, there is no time to learn. Now, when she is still small, one can slowly and carefully teach her to the future role.
I think it's wise for the Crown Princess couple to have children with when there are important visits. I don't think it's strange at all. And I actually think Estelle herself thinks it's pretty fun. She is such a nice and lively little girl, and she wants to be competent.
In addition, she learns already to speak a little English! She has had two English-language nannies. Estelle can converse well already, and this certainly impressed both William and Kate.
In the future, William and Estelle will certainly become colleagues, though William probably will be King long, long before Estelle becomes queen.
It is also part of the royal upbringing, to let the children meet other royal colleagues.
The royal queen school has already begun for Estelle. You have to start learning early if you want to become a master. It is like that also for the Crown Princess family.

On February 23, Princess Estelle turns six years. The county's gift to the Duchess is a charm representing Östergötland's province insect hermit beetle.
For the fifth consecutive year, Princess Estelle gets a charm with a link to Östergötland to the bracelet she received on her first birthday. The princess has previously received the provincial symbols of swan, northern pike, mushroom and floating liverwort and this year it is time for the landscape insect hermit beetle. The bracelet itself is linked together by a cornflower - Östergötland's landscape flower.
Just like on previous years, goldsmith and artist Margareth Sandström from Östergötland has created the charm of 18 carat gold.
- This provincial symbol was the hardest so far, says Sandström.

There photos are wonderful. Estelle has such a lovely smile and she looks always so happy. Great to see Oscar at one photo too.

Expressen writes that the court had mistakes at the photo texts when they published the photos. In swedish they wrote that Estelle has her 5th birthday and in english that the birthday is on 28th. But they corrected their mistakes quickly.

Estelle had at the photos Estelle-cake, made by NK's pastry cook Stefan Romare. Romare got the idea one or two days after the birth of the princess and after help from colleagues Stefan Johan Petersén and Cigdem Demirkiran it was ready - Estelle pastry, which is also available as a cake.
The cake is filled with hallon yoghurt mousse, vanilla cream, fresh raspberry and covered with meringue and pink marzipan.

Happy birthday sweet Estelle! She is all Victoria, but today at the photo with little brother I see Daniel too. She is precious.
 
These latest photos show two beautiful children. Estelle looks quite a bit like her mother and I think she's going to be very photogenic throughout her life. Oscar, on the other hand, is all seriousness and he's intent on focusing on what matters. Something to eat. I see more Daniel in Oscar. :D

Both children seem to have a very well adjusted, balanced and happy life and they're very much a close knit family that enjoys being with each other.

I agree. Estelle and Oscar are adorable, and Erika Gerdemark takes such lovely portraits! They are so warm and light, and in the more casual photos she manages to capture some sort of "special moments" that just make you feel happy, too. Happy birthday to Estelle!

Such beautiful photos of Estelle, and nice to see Oscar included in one to. This is how to include a sibling in a birthday photo, as they have included Oscar without taking the focus off Estelle since he only appears in one. I hope she had a lovely birthday.

Estelle had an Estelle cake at her birthday photos. And Oscar has an Oscar cake.
On March 4, 2016, NK revealed that they had created their own cake for Prince Oscar. Made with brownie bottom, vanilla cream, almond and blackberry mousse with Italian meringue.

Aw, these photos are just too precious! I can't believe Oscar is two already. I still remember the rumours of Victoria's pregnancy with him. Cute to see Estelle touching his cheeks in the second photo - I don't blame her for wanting to squeeze them :D
 
Along with the Grimaldi twins Jacques and Gabrielle, these are the most beautiful Royal children I can think of.

I like the picture of Prince Oscar trying to blow out the two candles on his Oscar cake. I like how sweetly Princess Estelle is carrying her Estelle cake.

Svensk Damtidning writes that the first official portrait of Estelle has been painted by artist Curie Adelswärd. She is born in Korea in 1967 and moved to Sweden when she was 13 years old.

Curie Adelswärd is a baroness, she is married to baron Jan Carl Adelswärd. They were invited to Victoria and Daniel's wedding, listed as personal friends of the couple.
