Brazilian guys,

In this month of May, a month dedicated to Our Lady, and on the eve of celebrating Mother's Day, my thoughts and prayers have turned in a very special way to wives, mothers and grandmothers.

The pandemic has affected so many families, but I have faith that better days will come.

My family and I have prayed especially for the medical teams, who have our greatest admiration. A tireless work, with absolute dedication and total selflessness of themselves in the name of love for others.

Therefore, I ask you all to keep the flame of hope burning.

May Our Lady bless and protect all the families of our beloved Brazil.

Dona Christine of Orleans and Bragança
Princess of Brazil

Hope that helps convince others to take it as well.

The virus isn't that new anymore... Has dominated most of our lives for 15 months now.

The Princess speaks Portuguese very well with a residual French accent of course.

Below a message from the princely couple's children on the occasion of their parents' ruby jubilee. The young princes have a heavy Rio de Janeiro accent apparently.

It is sad to see the family pictures with their late brother.

It seems that the family residence is an apartment?

Yes, looks like it. I am mainly wondering why they are wearing facemasks outside and not inside. The other way around (or face masks both inside and outside) seems more logical as in both cases they seem to be sitting rather close to each other.
