On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, The Ambassador of Romania and Mrs. Lavinia Ionita in cooperation with the Director of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Stockholm invited Royalty & VIP guests to the vernissage of the exhibition ”An Explanation of Love” by the Romanian – Swedish painter Dorina Mocan on Tuesday, 7 March 2023, at 18:00 hrs. Exhibition will continue until the 24th of March at the Romanian Cultural Institute at Skeppsbron 20 in Old town Stockholm.
The vernissage was honoured by the presence of Her Majesty Margareta, Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania and His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania.

She seems so respected by her country, and once crowned she can change the archaic rules and allow first born, male or female, to inherit. Or make a clause and declare her nephew her heir so her sister and her quarrels with her son don't set the restored monarchy back.

The situation as it is now is actually perfect. Change nothing.

The democratic gap, that the highest position in a democracy is "delivered" by hereditary succession within a family, has been solved in Romania. It is a democratic and constitutiuonal republic, bith with a Royal House working inside the state structure.

That is not unique. Between 1581 en 1795 the United Provinces (today's Netherlands) formed a republican state but with the House of Orange-Nassau fully expanding and thriving inside that state structure.
