The part that interests me about this whole story isn't naked Harry, it's all the people writing in from England saying that if you're in England and you try to see the pictures (say at the TMZ website) all you get is a message saying they are blocked in the country you're trying to view them in. I knew they could ban them from being published in a British paper but I didn't know they could block you from seeing them on sites outside England if you are in England. Anyone posting from England? Are you unable to see the naked Harry pics anywhere on the web?
I'm sorry, but this is a load of rubbish. This is the UK, not communist China. I just went to TMZ and saw the photos in exactly the same way those outside the UK do. The British press may not be publishing the pictures on privacy grounds, but they've been very clear in letting their readers know where they can be seen and I'll guess that most Brits have seen them by now.
What I don't understand is the idea that's being floated that Harry's going to have to be 're-branded' or that this will be somehow catastrophic for his reputation among the British people. Harry's persona is that of a not-too-bright army officer, who likes a drink and a dance and a good party, preferably with a pretty girl or two. He can pull off the serious royal duties when necessary, but lets his hair down when having a good time with his mates.
Harry's actions fit perfectly with what most people thought of Harry already. I'm fairly sure that this will have no lasting detrimental effect on the popularity of Harry or the RF generally.
