Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visit to Vietnam: 1-2 November 2022

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
The business papers do cover this visit seriously. I.e. where the internal squabbles within the DRF are secondary.

The problem is that a large part of the press - with some justification alas - believe their readers are stupid and are only interested in simple questions like the personal relationship within the DRF. In contrast to the serious and more business oriented papers they haven't properly informed their readers about this visit and the significance it has.
To that I will add that some royal reporters are hardly dressed, so to speak, to also cover aspects like commerce, foreign policy (like the ironic fact that Vietnam, Taiwan and USA have a common interest in keeping China in check in the South China Sea) and export.

Thank goodnessd for the Asian media, BB and even BT, and a few Twitter accounts of the ministry of foreign affairs and the Danish businesses at the conference for posting photos and reporting on events. At this juncture of Day 1 of the visit and the DRF social media (Instagram, website, Facebook and YouTube channel) have failed to post one minuscule piece of media of all M&F have today during their first day. They should take some notes of how the Sytch, Spanish and Belgium royal social media have covered their royal couple's recent and/or current visits! I now wholeheartedly agree with the guy from BT and his latest "analysis".

So thank you to the media that have taken the time/effort to cover this visit and thank to all for posting the articles and photos. Fingers crossed for some video.

I am going loopy trying to keep track of the 3 time zones as well. Nice photos from the puppet show and paintings visit yesterday.

The Asian media is doing a fantastic job covering their events.

Well - I will keep my thoughts to myself as to who IMO has created this whole mess that now M&F are left holding the bag for. And that is for another thread anyway.

Well - B.T. is a big contributor to keeping the title thing alive with their constant baiting and gaslighting. Maybe they should focus on the trip themselves instead of using the press conference to ask "gotcha" questions. Maybe they should camp out at Amalienborg instead.

Wasn't there supposed to be a press conference on Wednesday 11/2? Has there been any news on that?

CP Mary was magnificent today, "I hope you didn't travel all the way here to ask that question. Do you have any other questions?" That's how you neutralize the leeches.

M&F are not fooling around Hanoi, they're actually doing a very important job with the hope of developing a strong and stable economical relationship with Vietnam, yet these IDIOTS are only interested in keeping the "beef" afloat. Maybe this winter when we get to warm ourselves up with candles they will understand that they could have asked far more interesting questions. Oh lordy.

Any event where she wore a tiara?

Well, no, this wasn't a state visit. It was a business trip.

Any event where she wore a tiara?

No tiara events. That would be a State Visit, which unfortunately they cannot do.

This was an official visit/business promotional trip.

And it seems the DRF aren't doing incoming or outgoing state visits like all the other royal families. So, we may not see Mary in a tiara until January 1st, 2023.

Well Done Mary. They are working hard for their country and some of the news outlets are not bothering to comment on this.

She definitely put Mr Heinel Jensen in his place.
He's a good reporter that often ask questions that needs to be asked, but this wasn't the right time and place for it. It's obvious that while the royal family (Daisy, Frederik, Mary, Benedikte) felt that there were a time when those questions were justified and had to be answered that time has now passed.

I agree...Frederik and Mary are in their prime right at this moment. :whistling:

Today was very much Frederik's day.

What is not covered that much in the press is the fact that he is deeply involved with promoting industry using green energy and sustainable solutions. Which is a specialty of DK.

LEGO is opening a very large plant in Vietnam, that is to be supplied with energy by solar panels, also supplied by DK.

The reason is pretty simple: Vietnam has taken a good look at China: Seen the massive problems of pollution in the cities and combined with the fact that Vietnam has few energy resources of its own, they have decided to go emission neutral in a near future. It is of course a high target to set. But Vietnam has also seen that green energy is the future, both in regards to branding when it comes to sell your products but at least just as much in regards to stay independent of having to import fossil energy or having to build nuclear plants, which can take many years. Another thing is something that has emerged in China as well. The growing middle class there is politically active and typically being well educated and informed have become environmentally conscious. They don't want to live in a polluted country. Nor are they the least bit interested in their children growing up in smog, like they did themselves.
- Such a middle class has begun to emerge in Vietnam as well.

Another side effect of a growing and prosperous middle class is that they take a more global view and take a more direct and very keen interest in their children and where they go to school, what kind of education, teaching principles and so on.
On of the quiet export successes of DK are kindergartens. - So far in particular to China and Japan.
And now also Vietnam. They basically buy a Danish kindergarten, complete with a key to open the front door.
It's based on DK design and interior decoration, furnishing, design of the playgrounds with Scandinavian teaching principles, of course adapted to local conditions. That also includes toys, books instruments and plays based on DK pedagogue principles. The staff will also be trained, either in DK (That's mainly for those who are to train the locally recruited future staff) or in Vietnam by Danish instructors.
And this is where Mary comes in. Because a part of the principles that are included in this ready made kindergarten is an anti-bullying policy - again adapted to local conditions.

So far and AFAIK we haven't sold forest kindergartens to East Asia, but that I believe will only be a matter of time. We are busy exporting them to USA (Know how, experience and blue print) and Britain.

I cannot help but agree with you. He's quite the looker. Of course, there's more to him than that, but still. The outside complements the inside very well.

Per BB Article Above:
For Crown Prince Frederik, the last of three working days in Vietnam offered many festive program points, and unofficially Frederik set a new royal record with his performance today in Ho Chi Minh City.

At Lego, Vestas and Carlberg, Crown Prince Frederik was in the lead role on stage, and he was a huge star and spread joy everywhere he went.

It has probably not been seen before that the Crown Prince has been on stage three times within a few hours as the absolute protagonist of the day at large parties at Danish companies abroad. Just take your hat off to the crown prince's new unofficial record.

BB Also posted a great video of Day 3 and Frederik's events...credit to BB for a great video summary: https://www.billedbladet.dk/video/k...erik-saette-ny-royal-rekord/qsSNyZ6h/sWfkG7Up

Agree. Very good response from Mary. Any other questions. Maybe about Vietnam. Come on Mr. Jensen.

And Frederik with a good response as well.
"What I talk to my brother about, I consider that a family and private matter."
No need to air all the details for the press to have a field day.

This trip was very jam packed and relieved good coverage. Can't say they didn't promote Denmark.
They both look in top form
